Some of the luminous creme colors are still in the line like tannin. Hopefully these won’t be too creamy enough that they slide off of my lips like the luminous creme did. It was annoying

Em Avatar

I’ve spent like three years looking for a lip product (stick, crayon, stain, gloss, I no longer care) that’s the exact same color as Benefit Benetint, but with better staying power than Benetint. Gazpacho looks like another promising contender to sample.

Kat Avatar

You should definitely check out Korean Lip tints, They are the queen’s of lip tints, in terms of shade range, longevity and they are so cheap! I am sure you will find something similar 🙂
Tony Moly and PeriPera make great tints

BITE is interesting in that they are very interested in trying new formulas very often. This is really cool in a world that feels like some companies haven’t changed their formulas in 10 years (ahem, MAC). However, I am nervous, considering BITE had some issues with their fancy limited edition shades. Alas, the colors are gorgeous and I will probably buy at least one or two before the reviews come out just to see for myself. Also, totally bummed I missed out on the lipstick that smelled like maple syrup (I HAVE NEEDS).

Funny, I’m a VIB Rouge but the “Add To Basket” is greyed out and says “VIB Rouge and VIB exclusive” above it. I checked the website within that time frame. I guess VIBs cannot buy it either. I’m so disappointed.

Casey Avatar

Hope they won’t be too creamy like the originals cause I had it in the limited shade mimosa and it was sliding off my lips so bad that my mom noticed.. even with lipliner and primer. It’s gonna be more satin so hopefully they fixed that issue

Laura Avatar

I don’t understand why they discontinued the Luminous Creme line completely. The two could have co-existed. Two of my very favorite colors like, ever, are now gone and I didn’t know to buy a backup.

Jen Avatar

Same. My mom gave me a backup of Pomegranate for Christmas, and I will be hoarding that thing. That red was perfect. WHY is it not included in the new line?

SNH7 Avatar

Which colors were you looking for? I live in a small town that has stock of some popular colors that are out of stock online -could let you know if I saw them there. You might be able to call them and have them shipped to you?

K Avatar

The high pigment pencils have the color of the lipstick on the end of the container, and I was really hoping the new formula would use packaging like that and not like its other lip products. I have a lot of Bite lip products and it’s such a pain sorting through them all to find the color I want.

Alice Avatar

Ooh, these colors look beautiful. I’m looking forward to trying these! I really like the formula of the LE shades, I thought it was more moisturizing and longer wearing than the Luminous formula. I agree with Emmy, it’s nice to see a brand trying new formulas and (hopefully) perfecting their products.

Lorrin M Avatar

I’m actually quite interested in seeing how these perform! It’s not the first brand to completely do away with an old formula only to bring about a newer and better one (I’m looking at you old school UD eyeshadow tokens). I hope they live up to the expectation 🙂

Kat Avatar

I’m excited to see how these compare the the Luminous Creme. Generally I trust Bite as much as I think I could trust a brand, and my favorite shades seem to have made the cut. I just hope they were able to keep the shade consistent across the formulas!

Tatiana Avatar

Citrus flavor? Ugh. I must be the only person who wants unflavored, scentless lip products. I’m hoping these aren’t as strong/offensive as Clarins, Guerlain, Givenchy and Dolce & Gabbana.
I liked the Luminous Cremes. We’ll see.

Rachael Avatar

Kind of hate the name amuse bouche. But at least they’re veering away from the wine/ reservatol naming. I dont think people really cared about that after the first 6 – 12 months.

Susan Dowman Nevling Avatar

I love the entire top row and many other colors. Maybe I’ll take a hard look at my current conglomeration of lip colors and make room for a few new ones.

Zoe Avatar

I was just going t say the opposite. Love the purples. There are some nice mauve-y looking things here.

Is it just me or is orange really prevalent these past few years in makeup collections? I feel like all I run into is orange, red, and pink.

Casey Avatar

The original line had an even less amount of blue toned reds for us cool toned girls. I love that they added more of a selection. There was only one that was kinda suitable for cool skin-pomegranate. I wanted more of a variety and here we go.

Lori P Avatar

I’m glad they kept Tannin, that is my mother’s FAVORITE lipstick and I was dreading telling her that it was going to be discontinued. I am curious, wasn’t Dragonfruit one of the limited edition lipsticks they debuted for each month last year?

Bonnie Avatar

Holy shade range batman!!! Wow. It’s like I want to hate these because I’m mad at Bite for discontinuing the luminous creme lipstick. But if they end up being amazing, I may have to forgive and forget. 😉

Jen Avatar

I am very excited for these. Cannot wait to see actual pics. The names of the lipsticks make me want one of each, even the shades that won’t look good on me! I just need to own lipsticks called “Kimchi” and “Gin Fizz.” At $26 a pop though, these things better be STELLAR.

auntabby Avatar

I was able to be part of the test group on these – if the testers are any gauge, they are MUCH longer lasting than the original formula but not drying at all. I don’t know how they did it – they are as long-lasting as a NARS Audacious lipstick (if not longer) but stay much creamier without sliding off your lips. The colors that are repeats like Fig, Tannin, etc. are the same shades or extremely close (I had those in the old formula to compare). I think these are going to be well-loved – I’ve been bursting to talk about this new formula but you had to agree not to until the company made the announcement in case they changed the colors and/or formula substantially from the testers.

Sonya Avatar

I LOVE the name of this collection… it makes me giggle inside, literally. Amuse Bouche, just a little something from the chef, I die. The colors are lovely but I’ve never been a fan of the less than lasting nature of any Bite product. I will just admire the clever play on names and pass on these lovelies.

Bonnie Avatar

I’m really surprised! They seemed to be sending everyone amuse bouche lipsticks to try – they already have like 300 reviews on sephora’s site. So weird. Will you be ordering them to review soon?

Victoria Avatar

That’s because Influenster did send out a box to certain bloggers/youtubers but you have to take surveys first in order to qualify for a free box. I know because I was one of them that received it
