i really love BITE but the longevity in their lippies just isn’t there for the price paid!!
I mean… okay. Sounds an awful lot like the Luminous Cremes.
They are replacing the Luminous Cremes 🙂
Some of the luminous creme colors are still in the line like tannin. Hopefully these won’t be too creamy enough that they slide off of my lips like the luminous creme did. It was annoying
It’ll be interesting to see how the formula compares. I assume this is the replacement for the discontinued line,
I’ve spent like three years looking for a lip product (stick, crayon, stain, gloss, I no longer care) that’s the exact same color as Benefit Benetint, but with better staying power than Benetint. Gazpacho looks like another promising contender to sample.
Try the Bite Lush Lip Tint in Cherry.
You should definitely check out Korean Lip tints, They are the queen’s of lip tints, in terms of shade range, longevity and they are so cheap! I am sure you will find something similar 🙂
Tony Moly and PeriPera make great tints
Clinique released their lip and cheek oil pops! You might find what you want there. I grabbed mine at Bloomingdales who released early. I like it! Vincent Longo has good stains too. Beauty.com sells them. 🙂
The Korres lip butter in Wild Rose is the same color as Benetint. It’s a balm, though. http://www.sephora.com/lip-butter-P199109?skuId=1052695&om_mmc=ppc-GG&mkwid=s6Ou5k4uE&pcrid=50233218639&pdv=t&site=_search&lang=en&gclid=CjwKEAiA__C1BRDqyJOQ8_Tq230SJABWBSxnf4EZjLnu10ymCjKcuC6VbaNDIZhm6IyHlPaiBLgk8hoCJYvw_wcB
Oh, this is exciting because there might be some shades in the new range that I actually want to wear. *_*
BITE is interesting in that they are very interested in trying new formulas very often. This is really cool in a world that feels like some companies haven’t changed their formulas in 10 years (ahem, MAC). However, I am nervous, considering BITE had some issues with their fancy limited edition shades. Alas, the colors are gorgeous and I will probably buy at least one or two before the reviews come out just to see for myself. Also, totally bummed I missed out on the lipstick that smelled like maple syrup (I HAVE NEEDS).
I have their Candied Maple lippie. Love the colour & scent but it doesn’t last long 🙁
I happened to go to Canada around the time those came out and picked a few up. They’re awesome. Hope you can find some.
Do you know if these are coming out this week? As the luminous creme line will be discontinued in three days…
They only listed that they were going to be available for preview today. They have said coming soon otherwise.
Bite posted this on their FB page today: “Check out BITE Beauty’s newest collection, Amuse Bouche, online at SEPHORA today at 9am PST/ 12pm EST.” I assumed that meant they would be for sale but their FB page banner says “Coming March”.
Funny, I’m a VIB Rouge but the “Add To Basket” is greyed out and says “VIB Rouge and VIB exclusive” above it. I checked the website within that time frame. I guess VIBs cannot buy it either. I’m so disappointed.
Wait, my bad. That was yesterday. No wonder. I cannot wait to try Pepper. That’s my favorite MLBB shade!
Last thing I read was that it was going live in Canada on Feb. 23rd and in Sephora stores on March 4th. I haven’t seen anything about the online release for the U.S. yet.
I want them all
Me too!
I so hope these are as good as the originals! I have a feeling they are. 🙂
I wonder if the new Fig is the same as the old Fig? I just ordered Fig and haven’t even opened it. Christine, are you planning to review and compare them? I may hold off opening if I can resist.
Hope they won’t be too creamy like the originals cause I had it in the limited shade mimosa and it was sliding off my lips so bad that my mom noticed.. even with lipliner and primer. It’s gonna be more satin so hopefully they fixed that issue
I don’t understand why they discontinued the Luminous Creme line completely. The two could have co-existed. Two of my very favorite colors like, ever, are now gone and I didn’t know to buy a backup.
Same. My mom gave me a backup of Pomegranate for Christmas, and I will be hoarding that thing. That red was perfect. WHY is it not included in the new line?
Which colors were you looking for? I live in a small town that has stock of some popular colors that are out of stock online -could let you know if I saw them there. You might be able to call them and have them shipped to you?
I agree. With the Canadian dollar so bad, it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s the reason why they’re making a new version.
The high pigment pencils have the color of the lipstick on the end of the container, and I was really hoping the new formula would use packaging like that and not like its other lip products. I have a lot of Bite lip products and it’s such a pain sorting through them all to find the color I want.
Ooh, these colors look beautiful. I’m looking forward to trying these! I really like the formula of the LE shades, I thought it was more moisturizing and longer wearing than the Luminous formula. I agree with Emmy, it’s nice to see a brand trying new formulas and (hopefully) perfecting their products.
I’m actually quite interested in seeing how these perform! It’s not the first brand to completely do away with an old formula only to bring about a newer and better one (I’m looking at you old school UD eyeshadow tokens). I hope they live up to the expectation 🙂
okay I’m excited, the original line didn’t have enough dark shades so I’m loving this
Sour Cherry is listed on Sephora as a maraschino red! Looks good to try! ???
Any guess why these are $26 not $24? How prices are chosen. Never know
Would it be wrong to get one of each?
These photos sure look gorgeous! I wonder if some of these are based on their monthly special releases last year? Especially liking the look of Dragonfruit, Gin Fizz, Spritzer 🙂
seriously? not looking (liar: I’m typing this aren’t I)
I would never wear black violet enough to justify it. And yet…*sigh* I want.
I WANT THEM ALL!!! Lol, will be interested to see how they review ?.
I’m excited to see how these compare the the Luminous Creme. Generally I trust Bite as much as I think I could trust a brand, and my favorite shades seem to have made the cut. I just hope they were able to keep the shade consistent across the formulas!
[talks to self] NO. Must wait until these are IN store to pick a color.
Citrus flavor? Ugh. I must be the only person who wants unflavored, scentless lip products. I’m hoping these aren’t as strong/offensive as Clarins, Guerlain, Givenchy and Dolce & Gabbana.
I liked the Luminous Cremes. We’ll see.
WTF?????? They didn’t bring back Shiraz????? MY HG MLLBB color? Waaaaaaaaaa, waaaaaaaa, sob sob sob, why why why BITE?????
I’m curious to see a swatch of Black Truffle.
These look stunning! I can’t wait to try them! I love BITe lipsticks!
Hmmm, seems that they kept some of the Luminous lines shade colors? I just don’t get why they went this route, renaming the actual line and most of the shade names. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
Kind of hate the name amuse bouche. But at least they’re veering away from the wine/ reservatol naming. I dont think people really cared about that after the first 6 – 12 months.
I love the entire top row and many other colors. Maybe I’ll take a hard look at my current conglomeration of lip colors and make room for a few new ones.
That’s an awful lot of pink, purple, and pinky reds…. not a single orange, or a tomato red. Save for a pink coral… 🙁
I was just going t say the opposite. Love the purples. There are some nice mauve-y looking things here.
Is it just me or is orange really prevalent these past few years in makeup collections? I feel like all I run into is orange, red, and pink.
Agreed. Coral and orange-y reds have been very popular the past two years. Not just lipstick either. As someone who look horrendous in the color I feel like I keep running into them as well. I am digging the array of purples.
I am so glad I am not alone!
I agree with everything you said.
The original line had an even less amount of blue toned reds for us cool toned girls. I love that they added more of a selection. There was only one that was kinda suitable for cool skin-pomegranate. I wanted more of a variety and here we go.
THOSE COLORS
But not into citrus scented stuff
Can’t wait for your take, Christine
A great range of shades – love the berry and chocolate ones.
I’m glad they kept Tannin, that is my mother’s FAVORITE lipstick and I was dreading telling her that it was going to be discontinued. I am curious, wasn’t Dragonfruit one of the limited edition lipsticks they debuted for each month last year?
Holy shade range batman!!! Wow. It’s like I want to hate these because I’m mad at Bite for discontinuing the luminous creme lipstick. But if they end up being amazing, I may have to forgive and forget. 😉
I’m loving that whole first row of nudes. Lets be honest, I want them all.
Ooh, such pretty eye candy – or should I say lip candy 😉 Yummy either way!
BLACK TRUFFLE!?!?! GIVE ME NOW!
I am very excited for these. Cannot wait to see actual pics. The names of the lipsticks make me want one of each, even the shades that won’t look good on me! I just need to own lipsticks called “Kimchi” and “Gin Fizz.” At $26 a pop though, these things better be STELLAR.
Feeling excited… Waiting for the reviews and longevity and swatches… Mainly the lighter shades.. Fig and Pepper.. M waiting?????
I love some of these colors! I like BITE, but I also wonder if this new formulation will be longer lasting than some of their other products.
I was able to be part of the test group on these – if the testers are any gauge, they are MUCH longer lasting than the original formula but not drying at all. I don’t know how they did it – they are as long-lasting as a NARS Audacious lipstick (if not longer) but stay much creamier without sliding off your lips. The colors that are repeats like Fig, Tannin, etc. are the same shades or extremely close (I had those in the old formula to compare). I think these are going to be well-loved – I’ve been bursting to talk about this new formula but you had to agree not to until the company made the announcement in case they changed the colors and/or formula substantially from the testers.
That’s good news! It’s nice that they actually improved the formula, and didn’t just change it for the “new” factor.
I saw the promo picture on your regular feed and thought to myself immediately… “YAAAAASSSSS” lol I went out and snatched up Cava and Musk (cava of which had been on my list forever). I really do love this brand. I hope they continue to do well. I love the range in the new line too.
I really need to leave this thread now and start chanting “wait until they are in store, wait until they are in store” There are so many colors I could rock here. I soooo can not afford them all.
I LOVE the name of this collection… it makes me giggle inside, literally. Amuse Bouche, just a little something from the chef, I die. The colors are lovely but I’ve never been a fan of the less than lasting nature of any Bite product. I will just admire the clever play on names and pass on these lovelies.
When will you be swatching these? ?
Hey Christine,
Sephora just put the whole line up for sale! Are you going to have like a sneak peek swatch post of these up soon? Just wondering if I should buy a few now or hold out for your swatches! 🙂
Bite didn’t send me any, sorry!
I’m really surprised! They seemed to be sending everyone amuse bouche lipsticks to try – they already have like 300 reviews on sephora’s site. So weird. Will you be ordering them to review soon?
That’s because Influenster did send out a box to certain bloggers/youtubers but you have to take surveys first in order to qualify for a free box. I know because I was one of them that received it
Oooooohhh yessss finally bite released more red lipsticks for us cooler toned girls. Can’t wait to try it!
The Luminous Crème line provided much more moisture than the new Amuse Bouche line.
