Best Products of the Week | Vol. 349
Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.
What was your week in review like? Copy and paste the lil’ survey below and share your answers in the comments 🙂

Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, almost-black hair with natural gray highlights
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?
• EYES: MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre as a base from lid to brow; Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette (Best Friend on lid blended into Natural Beauty on crease, and Free Spirit on brow bone); UD 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Mushroom on upper lash line and outer third of lower lash line; CoverGirl Clump Crusher mascara; and a combination of Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil and Precisely My Brow, both in Grey.
• FACE: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup in Desert Beige, Lancome Effacernes Waterproof Concealer in Light Buff, MAC Blot Powder, MAC Sheertone Blush in Blushbaby.
• LIPS: MAC Cherish
What was the hero product of the week for you? UD 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Mushroom (again) because it goes with everything!
Any products you want to use next week? MAC Kinda Sexy lipstick. I bought it before the pandemic, but never used it.
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green eyes, warm brown hair.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: this sort of hot day at the beach look I did: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cf6yvk5LUOK/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
What was the hero product of the week for you?: My Wet n Wild Glass Primer, Blend Bunny Blends palette and Adept Cosmetics shadows.
Any products you want to use next week?: not in particular, but I do have the urge to use a randomizer to choose palettes and shades.
Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: Wet n Wild Nutty single shadow as a “one and done” with Sephora Diving in Malaysia pencil liner (I grabbed it in error, thinking it was Cappuccino), not sure what I had on my cheeks – maybe nothing – and MAC Craving on my lips
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Lise Watier Sun Smart facial sunscreen and Evian spray (it’s got really hot and humid here)
Any products you want to use next week?: Strange as it seems, since it’s sort of an autumnal duo, Nars Old Church Street. Every time I use that duo, I am reminded again and again how nice it is.
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain with pink undertones
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I think it was when I used ND’s Glam – a soft champagne shade over the lid, PMG’s Sublime Mini’s Sinful on the lower lid and Corruption on the lower lid. I paired it with CP’s Gallop.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: All my eyeshadow palettes! I have such a good range to choose from and , thanks to this blog, all good quality products too.
Any products you want to use next week?: Just my neutrals I think.
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name (blue-green eyes, dark hair)
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: Sadly, nothing I tried to do worked out very well due to my teary eyes. Very frustrating when you get an idea of how you want everything to look, but tears from allergies and dry eye mess your eyeshadow up even before you can get the rest of your face done!
What was the hero product of the week for you?: The few things that even my tears cannot destroy: KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper, Heroine Make Long and Curl Super Waterproof Mascara and Smashbox Always On Eye Pencil in Fishnet.
Any products you want to use next week? Looking forward to receiving my Haus Labs Pink Amethyst Bio-Radiant Highlighter to use with one of my terracotta blushes!
Eyes: Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color VI720 Ghost with CHANEL Diapason and the Aubergine from SMASHBOX Photo Op trio. Liners MUFE 904 Wordly Mauve and CHANEL Beryl Stylo Yeux inner rim. Cheeks T.F Love Lust and CHANEL Sculpting Glow stick . Lips, lip maestro 500. I tried Shiseido Self Refreshing foundation in Silk (a bit warm for me) and it held up quite well without powder, in warm greek night with lots of dancing, in a wedding event. Due to the wedding, it goes without saying that the mascara was waterproof
WHATYOUR SKIN TONE/COLORING:
Under my name; dark plum hair; hazel,/green eyes.
WAS YOUR FAVORITE MAKEUP LOOK YOU WORE THIS PAST WEEK?:
Ugh, I felt like I forget how to do makeup this week. My eyes are worse and contacts won’t work with my eye issues, plus my hoods are a bit more droopy. I’ve lost 42 lbs since January, and my face shape is different. Much less round, cheekbones more prominent, and a much more visible jawline (gasp!)
The only look I loved was a smokey eye I did with ABH Modern Renaissance using Golden Ochre as a base, Burnt Orange in the crease, Raw Sienna to Deepen the crease, Tempura on the brow bone, Red Ochre on the lid with Cypress Umber Darkening up the outer corner. Liner was UD Roach smoked out with Cypress Umber. Cheeks were e.l.f. Blush in Bright Pink (which is neither bright nor pink, but peach), City Color Cosmetics Intense Exposure Highlighting Powder (DC). Lips were Juvia’s Place The Nude Velvety Matte Lipstick in #2020, blotted.
WHAT WAS THE HERO PRODUCT OF THE WEEK FOR YOU?: Supergoop sunscreen products. July has actually been sunny!
ANY PRODUCTS YOU WANT TO USE NEXT WEEK?: I got the Nomad Fêtes de Provence Palette and lipgloss collection, so I want to play with those. I think the Palette’s color story will be really flattering with my eye color.
