Best Products of the Week | Vol. 343

Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.

What was your week in review like? Copy and paste the lil’ survey below and share your answers in the comments 🙂

  • Your skin tone/coloring:
  • What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?:
  • What was the hero product of the week for you?:
  • Any products you want to use next week?:

Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name (blue-green eyes, dark hair)

What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?:
Eyes: Nars Unrated Eyeshadow Palette shades as follows: Isla to meld my MAC Orb browbone shade into Spiaggia Rosa over my entire crease, Tikehau to define crease and lower middle lashline, Fetish to smoke out lower outer lashline and deep crease/outer V, Satisfy inner tearducts, Bad Intentions outer mobile lid blended into Fetish, and then the STUPENDOUSLY gorgeous Summer Moon on most of my mobile lid and inner lower lashline, Sephora Contour Liner in Love Affair lower lashline with my usual black tightliner, winged liner and mascara.
Cheeks: Becca Malibu Soleil bronzer, Nars Breathless highlighter, Devotion and Liberté blushes mixed. These are in the Nars Afterglow Cheek Palette.
Lips: Nyx Ever Slim Lip Pencil with MAC Cosmo Lipstick.
This was the first time in ages that I looked in the mirror and felt beautiful and radiant!

What was the hero product of the week for you?: Nars Unrated Eyeshadow Palette! Especially, Summer Moon. I’d love to have a mega pan of that shade.

Any products you want to use next week?: The bronzier shades in Unrated and Afterglow palettes. I’d love to see Komodo Island, Palmetto, Fetish and Isla with my CP Peeps Yellow used in a look, and see how Savage works on my cheeks. This may look interesting, I’m thinking.

What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I used my Smashbox Petal Metal palette this week – with Opal Rose over the lid, Rose Rocked over the lower lid, PMG’s Lapis Luxury next to the lash line, with a dash of XO Vlada in the crease. I paired it with CP’s Tea Thyme lipstick.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: All my amazing eyeshadow palettes: this week I used Glam, Lorac’s Noir, Stila’s In the Garden, Pixi Beauty Reflex Light and a wider variety of lipsticks too.
Any products you want to use next week?: As many as I can!
