Best Products of the Week | Vol. 316
Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.
What was your week in review like? Copy and paste the lil’ survey below and share your answers in the comments 🙂

What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: once again, it was the Nars Old Church Street duo along with MAC Craving lipstick and – shocker – I started using a sample of the Clarins mascara I was given. I love this stuff – it doesn’t smudge or smear, even after a workout with my trainer at the by and lots of sweaty face wiping (TMI, I’m sure). I used Too Faced Sweetie Pie bronzer to give a bit of colour to my forehead and throat (mask covering the rest of my face)
What was the hero product of the week for you?: I think it’s that new Clarins mascara…it’s ages since a mascara has performed this well for me. I just hope the full size will be as good.
Any products you want to use next week? The recent comments about SG/Temptalia’s On the Horizon (about how perfect it is for fall) have caused me to want to use it this tonight (going out finally for my birthday dinner) and for the next few days because it really is a perfect assortment of colours for the cooler weather and slightly blustery days.
Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones. I have white/grey hair and brown eyes.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I did a no makeup, makeup day so nothing elaborate. I used the last container of my beloved Chosungah foundation. I didn’t powder it down and so it provided a more dewy look for me which is something I have been liking on others recently. I used my Tarte Shape Tape concealer, Chantacaille Butterfly blush and a rose colored lip pencil. I of course, sprayed massive amounts of MAC Fix Plus, (somethings never change!).
What was the hero product of the week for you?: I really love the Chosungah foundation and it is unavailable now. I did become aware that the brand is still in business, which I had questioned when all of their products disappeared about two years ago. I am going to look at what they offer now and try a few products. It is a Korean based company and I like trying Korean products.
Any products you want to use next week? I am anxious to dig out my Pat McGrath eye shadow palettes while I am in the big city, Seattle!
Your skin tone/coloring: very fair, cool undertones
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: my birthday party look! https://www.instagram.com/p/CVBNXJ0pkVO/?utm_medium=copy_link
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Probably my Ilia Skin Tint. It is the perfect amount of coverage for me. And the color match is exact!
Any products you want to use next week?: My new Shiseido Code Red lipstick. I hope it is as amazing as it looks. My new Morphe eyeshadow brush. (I always need more eyeshadow brushes!)
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I used the On the Horizons Light palette, with Heart Dog on the whole lid, Earthbound on the lower lid and Calming Presence on the lashline. I paired it with Maybelline’s Mauve for Me lipstick. And I always love this colour combination.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: On the Horizons eye palette
Any products you want to use next week?: Probably PMG’s Sublime Mini.
Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC NC 20
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: The I did using NARS Climax palette or the ones I did with the ABH Jackie Aina palette
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Bare Minerals Mineral Veil
Any products you want to use next week? I want to pull out Pat McGrath Divine Rose 2 and the Platinum Bronze palette
