Best Opaque Lipgloss

What's the Best Opaque Lipgloss that you've tried?

I’m a big fan of Anastasia’s Lipgloss and MAC Vamplify, as well as some of the more lipgloss/lip stain hybrids like YSL Glossy Stains, Tom Ford Patent Finish Lip Color, etc.. I also like NARS newer Velvet Lip Glides, but they don’t retain the glossiness for as long as traditional glosses (it’s a lipgloss/lipstick hybrid).

I fell in love with ABH Lipglosses this past summer. They remind me of the MAC Pro Longwear glosses. I love the ABH color selection. They can stand alone with a liner. I recently bought the Fall mini Set as well.

I like the YSL glossy stains, the Armani Ecstasy Laquer and Tom Ford ones too. The Armani’s are probably the best represented in my collection overall, though my current favorites are definitely the Cle de Peau radiant liquid rouge!

I don’t buy lipgloss to be opaque, so that’s not consciously on my radar.. Growing up, gloss was always meant to be sheer and layered to add shine and/or sparkle to your lipstick. Or else, it was meant for younger girls who were not old enough for lipstick, so it was meant to just add shine and maybe a hint of color.

MUFE Artist Plexi-Gloss in Beetle is probably my most opaque gloss, and I love the quality of the gloss and the shape and flexibility of the applicator. I would buy more of the Plexi-glosses.

Hi, Mo. How are you? This is a little off topic. We were talking a/b the face sweating upon makeup application. I’ve seen some articles talking a/b ppl putting their faces in ice water. And I’ve seen some articles talking a/b using ice cubes as a skin treatment. And, I’ve noticed that when I feel too hot that if I sip on ice water within a few minutes that lowers my temperature. So, food for thought.

Hey Char:

Yes, I’ve done that a few times as well. Drinking ice cold water helps at times too. I have even thought about getting this surgery that lessons the sweat glands in the face. It’s that much of a problem for me and I am so over it. 🙁 ugh

The only somewhat opaque gloss I have Revlon HD formula, which I do like a lot — good strong color, leaves a little behind even after the gloss part wears away.

The ABH and MUFE Plexi-glosses are both really nice I have a MUFE Holiday kit from last year that has a lot of them and I bought the ABH Summer gloss kit just for St.Tropez after seeing it on Christine!!I just watched a Utube video and the Kylie Cosmetics glosses are supposed to be really pigmented also but I don’t own any of those.I won’t buy them because of their shady marketing strategies.
