Best of AURIC Cosmetics (Initial Launch)

AURIC Cosmetics Glow Lust + Smoke Reflect Swatches

AURIC Cosmetics is a new brand launched by influencer Samantha Ravndahl (who is also a personal friend of mine), which launched officially on January 26th. I’ve reviewed everything that the brand has released in its initial launch, and I definitely am eager to see what kind of launches they’ll have in the future. I think the Glow Lust is the standout product, as I found it particularly consistent and very easy to work with. It’s something I’ll be incorporating with my foundation over the next few weeks to see what shade(s) I like the most and exactly what foundations I prefer it with (over something more pearly).

I enjoyed the cream eyeshadows from the duos, but the powder eyeshadows were less consistent and didn’t hit high, high notes like the luminizer did for me.

I truly love the Glow Lust Luminizers. I will probably get either Pyrite or Selenite since watching Alicia@KinkySweat review last night. She is practically my “skin twin”, so if Selenite works for her, I know it would work for me and not be too light to use as more of a highlighter and Pyrite as a mix in Luminizer. I do have the same concern as her, however, that Pyrite runs a bit too neutral, and needs something to warm it up for her skin tone. I’m sure I’d run into this issue as well.
As for the e/s duos, I really do love Defiance! That’s something I could use for “simple” days. Something that’s becoming more and more tempting for me.

I have too many bad memories of the oil slick that my face always became after a few hours to be comfortable wearing any type of glow product on my face. I have stayed away from HFF et al. and I will not try these Luminizers either. I like Temper a lot but I am put off by the general disappointment with the shimmer component, especially at the price point. I wish I had the eye shape and coloring for Ego, but I don’t, and Defiance doesn’t excite me. So I am taking a pass on Auric.

I love their cream and shimmery duos the best – especially Defiance and Ego. The Glow Lust Luminizers were the standout products, but personally I don’t use them. But I am pleased that they rated well as sometimes these kind of products can be tricky to use and be less effective.
