The Hit List

I like heavier creams for blemishes that are more discoloration but don’t have any texture issues (e.g. dryness, flakiness, etc.) and will usually reach for Cle de Peau or Shiseido’s concealer sticks. For blemishes that might be drier or flakier, I’ll use a more emollient, liquid-based concealer like NARS Radiant Cream Concealer or IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye.

Boo-Boo Cover Up concealer. So underrated. It’s not drying and it’s good for blemishes and under eyes because it’s so creamy.

For blemishes, I use NARS radiant concealer also, but the color is just short of perfect so I’m looking for something new when this runs out. I look forward to others’ comments
For redness or milder skin disruptions, I use MUFE full cover ‘extreme camouflage cream’, which works fine.

Tarte Shape Tape is my favorite right now. It offers great coverage but doesn’t look cakey on my dry skin.

For me it’s been the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, though I wouldn’t mind trying out their new Soft Matte concealer for blemish purposes.

NARS RCC in Chantilly works great for me. I also use a foundation, NARS SG in Siberia on a small brush to tone down the redness of blemishes as a corrector product. Honestly, it’s better than most concealer at it!

I’m 58 y.o. and I STILL get breakouts, so you know that after 46 years of dealing with zits, I must have found something I love, right? Well, yes I have, and it’s cheap, too! Nyx Gotcha Covered Waterproof Concealer. Not drying, so it doesn’t emphasize flakiness as it’s healing. Yet it gives me full coverage. So I do love it!

My problem is when the pimple is raised, red (or maybe even coming to a head) and oily, everything seems to just migrate off it and create a little circle around them 🙁 I haven’t found something that works for those yet.
