Benefit Nude Swings Longwear Powder Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.11 oz.) is described as a “rose gold.” It’s a warm beige with a hint of peach and a champagne sheen. I expect that it may look more like a rose gold, as listed, on those with pink undertones–against my warmer undertones, it loses the pink, but I do see a pink tinge to the color when I look at it in the pan. Cinderella Midnight Hour is less metallic and slightly pinker. L’Oreal Blinged & Brilliant is very similar but more metallic. MAC Naked Lunch is less metallic.

It had good pigmentation, though it could have been a bit denser and more buttery, so it could be a more versatile shade. As is, it forms a very thin layer that is mostly opaque. It does apply smoothly and evenly, and it sits nicely on the skin. It’s not quite metallic, but it has a high sheen to its finish, so it works well to brighten lids.
The color payoff is decent but not fully opaque. It had a slightly drier texture compared to other shades I’ve reviewed from the range, so it doesn’t apply as smoothly. It is, however, still soft to the touch and easy to blend out on the lid. When I wore Nude Swings, it lasted for seven hours well but was slightly faded and starting to crease after eight hours (no primer).

And good (bad?) news–this shade doesn’t appear to be included in any of Benefit’s World Famous Neutrals’ palettes, so it is only available individually.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Hi Christine, there seems to be something wrong with this article. I can’t see the pictures, there is just a bunch of lines saying

“Benefit Nude Swings Longwear Powder Eyeshadow Share on Pinterest Share on Facebook Share on Twitter

a couple of times 🙁

This may be me, but I’m getting broken images when I load the page. When I hover over it I get an option to share on Pinterest, but I can’t get the pictures to load. I’m running Google Chrome, Version 25.0.1364.172 m, and I’m on a PC running Windows 8. HTH.

I actually didn’t think I’d like this shade so much but swatched, it is gorgeous! It seems that all the Benefit single shadows you have been reviewing lately though don’t score the highest so maybe I should try to find a similar shade elsewhere.
