Benefit Blue My Mind Creaseless Cream Shadow Review, Photos, Swatches
Benefit Blue My Mind Creaseless Cream Shadow
Benefit Blue My Mind Creaseless Cream Shadow ($20.00 for 0.16 oz.) is described as an “arctic blue.” It’s a pale, silvery blue with a frosted, metallic finish. It’s surprisingly only subtly cool-toned, despite its blue/silver coloring. MAC Blue Willow is more glittery and lighter. Cinderella Glass Slipper is a touch darker and less metallic. Buxom Husky is darker. Giorgio Armani #10 is very comparable.
This shade is incredibly reflective, and it tends to look more like a silvery white on the lid than blue–so if blue eyeshadow isn’t your thing, don’t let the color in the pot fool you! When paired with cooler-toned colors and other blues/teals, it will look bluer, but generally, it is a gray-ish white. The pigmentation of Blue My Mind was so-so; I wasn’t able to build up the color to get really opaque color, but it applied evenly for the most part even if there was a sheerness to the color overall. I did experience noticeable creasing after ten hours of wear but no fading. I also noticed that this one was coming apart from the edge of the glass, so the lid may not have been screwed on tightly enough after being manufactured.

Benefit Blue My Mind / Always a Bridesmaid Creaseless Cream Shadow
Wow. It’s reading very lilac on your lid. Is that the way it really looks or is that a result of lighting?
There are two products on the lid – Blue My Mind and Always a Bridesmaid! 🙂
I know that you can make almost anything look good (seriously, you could create a killer look with crayons if you had to) but the result with this one looks off… So I guess that says a lot, lol. Definitely skipping this!
Even if this had earned a better rating, it would be a “leave it” for me. Back in the 80’s there was a style book called “Blue Eyeshadow Should Be Illegal” and this seems to be the sort of blue they must have been talking about! Just not for me.
Wow. If you hadn’t told us that that was a blue next to the lilac I’d never guessed that that wasn’t a silver! And really, there are too many good silver cream shadows on the market to use this one as a substitute. Pass!
Hi Christine! excuse me for the off topic but i just had this thought: would you do a round-up for the fashion shows as you normally do for oscars and other ceremonies? plus, could you share a website where i can find good photos of the makeup looks? kisses!
No plans to do anything this season! You could try BellaSugar!
is it just me or are these new colors an overall flop?
Just the proper colors, the browns (and I think grey/taupe) is a winner.
I’d do anything for a cream shadow that only had minor creasing after 10 hours. Everything creamy crease super fast on me 🙁
Pale, icy blues have never been my thing, really but that Always A Bridesmaid one is lovely!!
I could certainly not pull this color off. I’d end up looking very “strange.” Definitely skipping this one!
Sadly, all the colors I like are getting bad reviews so far ><
Reminds me of the 80s
I actually really like this. I bet it would look gorgeous next to a deeper grey or gunmetal-ish color.
This is very lovely. I would like to compliment your choice of pairings for these eyeshadows. They look good on you.
