Moonstone is one of my favourite highlighters, but overall I think I prefer the pump liquid version because I often custom mix it with another product. I also think the pump version is considerably more hygienic.. No!, just crossed my mind, but seriously hope this isn’t the demise of the pump….
Nice that they came up with such a wide range of colors.
Praise the highlighter GODS! My Opal powder compact just shattered and I can’t pick up the product properly and I am so sad..hopefully this is as amazing as it sounds..Omg imagine using this first then the powder highlighter!! GORG!
I’m a little confused – what’s the difference between these and the originals?
It seems like they’re cream highlighters, but it’d be nice if it were in the description! The Sephora site describes it as “A pigment-rich, creamy formula that provides high color payoff with a soft, sophisticated shimmer.”
I’m so so so so excited for this!
sooo… I assume these are cream highlighters? It’s not specified anywhere…
How are these different from the existing shimmering skin perfectors? Creams? And will you be doing swatches of the their limited edition skin perfector in Blushed Copper?
What’s the difference between these and the pressed shimmering skin perfectors?
I really like the “original” formula (besides the fact mineral oil is at the top of the ingredients list…), but I’ve always wished Pearl was included in the range, so that’s the one I’ll eventually pick up.
I am wondering what everyone else id it seems..1) is this a cream version of the powders/liquids? 2) are they getting rid of the liquids ( in the pump bottle) . I too like WWendy like to mix that. hope to see reviews! Look gorgeous..my wallet is sneering at me!
After a bit of research, I found this formula is apparently the same as the new highlight/contour duo, which is a cream.
Also, according to the brand, this formula is a new addition to the “fami
y” of Skin Perfectors, so it doesn’t seem anything is being DC’d-at least any time soon!
These are pretty, but I like the ones in the tubes- easier to apply, more hygienic, more portable, and you can mix colors.
This is what i was told at sephora
becca makes the lowlight/highlight cream palette, this is the cream highlight product in a single pan form. Which makes no sense because you get .12oz of this in the palette for $42. In the new poured single form its .19oz for $38. I would pay the extra $4 and get the palette because you also get almost a full size of the lowlight too. buying it as a single you do get color choices. Buying it as the palette you get the original which is just an illuminating color (item 1649649) or the new palette which has poured opal(item1699669). this is just a cream form of the highlighters so it comes down to preference and which form you like. Its nice to have options you can get liquid, powder, and now cream.
I swatched the duo, but since I already had the sculpting cream, and the lumanizer reminded me too much of Opal, I decided to pass (I have Opal, as well, and it’s a bit too dark for a highlighter). However, as I stated above, I’ve always wished Pearl was available in a formula other than liquid, so this is ideal. Also, since the sculpting cream was released a while back, many people may already have it, so buying the duo would be a better option, and it can be customized. I have Opal & Moonstone in Pressed, so I won’t be buying those any time soon, but maybe in the future; I had a very hard time finding Moonstone in stock every time I was ready to buy it, so having both formulas available will also help in that respect!
As for “hygiene”, it’s no worse than applying lip products directly, or concealers & cream/liquid eyeshadows/primers, and using clean brushes/sponges helps…
You’re assuming that all women want the two colors. Many WOC in deeper skin tones don’t want or can’t use lighter colors offered in duos and palettes. I think this is a great alternative to buying a product you know you don’t want and/or won’t use. Everything that works for most doesn’t work for all. *no snark*
That was definitely not my intention i was just pointing out which way was more cost effective for a person that wanted to buy or try either product. Like i said it’s about preference and what products a person likes.i think becca is awesome for doing this i wish other companies would give more options. it seems like every time you buy something that has more than one product in it, you like some things but not others and you’re stuck with products you will never use. That’s money down the drain. with these you can pick exactly what you want and get your moneys worth.
Nice to see such a variety of shades.
Oooo I’m really excited for these. I wonder if they will work better on dry skin than powders typically do? That’s what I’m hoping.
Must have Pearl! I love the liquid version!
Looks lovely to me. I might have a go…
Becca finally hit in-store in our local Sephora, so hopefully this will show up, too. I’d love to swatch them in person.
What’s the difference between these new ones and the one I bought a few weeks ago?
I am obsessed with opal I think hat it is absolutely amazing. Becca always impresses with their new products so I have high hopes for this little guys
xx
Does anyone know if Rose gold was available on Sephora’s site? It is out of stock now. i am wondering if it has not been stocked or if it sold out quickly? 🙂
Drat, that’s $80 out the window.
I’m so there.
