I notice they say ‘on all skin *types*’. Does this mean it’s intended for one set of skintones, but will work for oily/dry/combo/normal, or are they just messing with the established terminology, and mean that it should work for all skin *tones*, from deep to fair and cool to warm?

Also, if the promo picture colour is accurate (which ,to be fair, one has to take with a grain of salt), then that contour shade is *way* too brown and warm to create a ‘natural looking’ contour on many people.

Maybe I’m overthinking a product I will never buy, but the wording caught my eye, LOL! ^_^ Maybe I should reserve judgement til I see swatches! It’s also half-past midnight – maybe I should just go to sleep… 😉

I’m pretty sure they are implying skin type when it comes to oily/combo/dry/normal. Personally I won’t be able to use this as the sculpting perfecto contains petrolatum which the skin does not appreciate when used in cosmetics (lips are fine with it) as I will break out pretty bad.

I’d like to hear if anyone else had tried this out – I just used it for the first time today, and the highlight shade is just too pink and pigmented for my fair skin 🙁 it shows up almost as a cream blush for me! I’m an NC15 for reference. I’d rather just get the lowlight cream on its on for a few bucks less, it’s great!

This looks like a dupe for the Kevin Aucoin The Candlelight Sculpting Glow Duo, except it’s $42 instead of $28!! And interesting how Kevin’s has more of the highlighter while this one has more of the contour product . Would be curious to see how this one compares to Kevins

So, the sculpt shade is the same in the individual package released earlier this past year? Is the highlight a corresponding to one of the highlighters that are out? Moonstone or Opal? I am wanting to try the Kevyn Aucoin because I love his powder contour and highlight products. Interested in a review though. I own the becca cream sculpt and a few of the liquids and they just dont get much play. i just find powder easier. probably how my organization is set up as well.

A lot of becca’s bronzing products run waaaay to dark for me and I’m a pretty average medium fair. They seem to be really rufous/orange which is unfortuanate because I really like other becca products

To everyone who thinks this is too dark, I’m <NC15, and it works well for me. I'm also extremely neutral, and as a result, the undertones in any product are emphasized, however this doesn't pull orange on me. It's far from HG, and I do have products I prefer (for several reasons), but I do really like this. While the pigmentation is strong, there is still a translucent quality to it, which makes it blend seamlessly into ones own skin. I can't speak for the highlighter, as I have the "original" sculpting cream, which I pair with Opal or Moonstone.

I bought this since the shades, while they look very dark, come out very sheer when used with hands and a brush. The sculpting shade is not as pigmented as Kevyn Aucoin’s contour palette but I find that the Becca sculpting shade fades after a couple of hours. The highlighting shade is light and slightly shimmery and feels like a powder to cream formula. It stays on longer than the sculpting shade, maybe about 4 hours. It is much bigger than the Kevyn Aucoin contour palette. Both palettes have shades that look natural on all skin shades (Becca’s is a tad bit warmer for the sculpting shade). Overall, I prefer Kevyn Aucoin’s palette. The price is also cheaper and you can pop it in your purse for touch-ups.
