Oh boy these look intriguing!
I guess this is BECCA’s creamy answer to Hourglass’s Ambient Blushes, then!
Not at all! 🙂 Becca has had Beach Tints and Shimmering Skin Perfector LONG before Hourglass existed! All Becca did was create a cream that combines a shimmer color and a liquid beach tint et voila! So if you look into Becca Beach Tints, perhaps you’ll see the greatness, and then choose a Shimmering Skin Perfector that’s best for you, and just blend them instead of biting these! This is nothing like Hourglass! I promise. But you’ll save money buying Beach Tints & Shimmering Skin Perfector separately to create your own custom look! They wear ALL DAY and the little tubes last FOREVER, as does the large bottle of Shimmering Skin Perfecter! Still, Becca made a cool concept for sales, I must say! I hope you give Becca a try, however you choose to do so, after reasearching the products mentioned, and find something you love! (The hourglass ambient blush and powder is an extra nice compliment to the Becca Beach Tints.) XO 🙂 <3 Lotus
I knew about the separate products before, but the combining of the two into one product reminds me of Hourglass’s ALBs because…well, they combine color and a “skin perfecter.” And those came out a couple months ago, and BECCA is only just releasing these. You know what I mean? I will give BECCA props for having shades that don’t seem as redundant as the ALBs.
Hi Helena! I understand your point of view, but but for me, I’ve been combining Beach Tints and Shimmering Skin Perfecters for a LONG time. And while this is great to reintroduce a marvelous brand, Becca, that I swear by for everything, I can guarantee the performance of these to be overtly better than those of the Ambient Lighting Blushes & Powders, which honestly weren’t ingeniously unique as well due to other people using that same concept for years to create marbling and color that has a photo reflective and scupting natural finish to the face… They just didn’t put it in such expensive packaging, advertise it to oblivion, and add exorbitant prices! It’s all about marketing, I guess. (I’m a sucker) And for those who don’t have all Becca products, these will be such a lovely addition. I surely hope you will try them. They last all day! <3 xo
Again, Becca isn’t JUST releasing these…the technology has been there and coveted by many for years. They have just made the soufflés to hopefully reawaken people to quality I’m an adorable way. 🙂 Who knows where Hourglass got their idea? And the Guerlain Meterorites have been around forever..so you know what I mean? We all need to look beyond the surface. 🙂
ahhhh I can’t wait to play with these!
Wow
Speaking of guilt, I want all of these.
For Summer 2014: assuming this means an LE collection? please say no
Haven’t gotten an official press release from Becca, but Sephora just lists them as “exclusive” but not limited edition.
Don’t worry, you can effortlessly recreate them! 😀
Reminds me of the Jill Stuart jelly eyeshadows!
I thought the exact same thing… Because the Jill Stuart ones also have a round container with the exact same color lid (although Jill Stuart’s is much more detailed!). I wonder if the texture is going to be the exact same too!
Ditto on this! I’m expecting glitter more than shimmer there in these like the Jill Stuart eye jellies! The souffle texture isn’t anything new.
It looks disgusting on the promo images. I can see it working in real life, but not really something to look at in the jar.
glad i’m not the only one who thinks they look gross. the darker ones sore of look like festering cold sores. i am interested to see what they look/feel like in real life though.
Agreed. I have a heat time understanding how they selected promo pics that make the product look gross…
love these, I wonder how you would apply them though?
I have one already… this is definitely an apply with fingers/blend out with fingers or brush kinda thing… the pot is smaller than you think. I love mine and thinking of getting a second one… and the consistency is completely different than the hourglass blushes! hope this helps
thanks
My interest is definitely piqued! Looking forward to checking these out 🙂
These look so insanely pretty! They kind of remind me of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes just from appearances, but the formula sounds completely different. I think Fig and Lychee are my favourites 🙂
Formula is completely different… almost has a squishy feeling when you touch it… more of a cream to powder consistency as opposed to Hourglass which is already powder
Yayyyyyyyyy!!! Finally BECCA! I lthink I will still prefer the original Beach Tints! But these are yummy! They look like cookies! 😀
ALSO: The effects of these are exactly what you get when using a Beach tint, (Fig, Grapefruit, Watermelon, Guava, Lychee, Papaya, Dragonfruit, or Raspberry), and highlighting with a Perfecting Shimmer! (Pearl, Moonstone, Opal, Topaz) I’m glad I already have these, in that case. Save money if you have combos already! 😀 <3 xoxo
Thanks for sharing your tip Lotus! i do have many of those beach tints. I worry that these shimmer souffles will dry up in the jar eventually lol
Hi Jenni! You’re so welcome! I’m glad it comes in handy for you! Becca is such high quality, formulas executed flawlessly, I doubt these would dry up quickly, though the air exposure does pose a good question! For me, I’m looking around at what I have & all I don’t use yet still want, and I realized that I need to compartmentalize. Realizing exactly what these were was a way to save money on something I already have, tried & true! I hoped by sharing the tip that I could help others save money, too! Thank you for the positive feedback! You’re sweet and kind to share! <3 xo
Looks like an interesting makeup concept – I’ve never tried anything from Becca except for their lip/cheek tint so this looks quite interested!
Hi Steph! These are the same thing pulverized & blended with Becca’s legendary Shimmering Skin Perfecter, then molded into an attractive cream! And so you can create it yourself! I hope that saves you money! <3 xo
These are gorgeous! Will you be doing swatches of these soon?
Kisses from Buenos Aires xx
These look absolutely gorgeous! I can’t wait to try one!
Oh these look so amazing! I love Becca skin perfectors and these are like best of both worlds!
Want.Need.Gimme.Now.
Definitely looking forward to these! I going for Fig, Guava, Papaya, and Watermelon. 🙂
… interesting. i’m interested.
These look so pretty! I can’t wait to read your review.
These looks lovely! The first, second, and last ones look very appealing to me. Its funny because I’ve been more into msf-esque products and becca products lately, so this one fits me like a glove! Cant wait to see some swatches!
My #1 interest for summer 2014! Fig and guava!
Ooo… :-O
These look so interesting! I can’t wait to see how they turn out in practical use!
( I agree with the others who mention that some of them look a little less than… elegant in the promo images, LOL. At least it makes you sit up and take notice! :-P)
God, I need one of these! I love Becca Beach Tints as they are, but adding some of the shimmer will be amazing!
im gonna have to try one of these they look awesome
