Beautiful Beginnings with Le Metier de Beaute

What was the first Le Metier de Beaute product you ever tried?  Did it pave way for a real romance or did it put you off the brand entirely?  What was the first product you purchased?  Did you love it? Hate it? Still own it?

my answer: Lipgloss was my first love! I remember being in NYC and going through one of the high-end stores (maybe it was Barney’s?) and spotting the counter. I had never heard of the brand before, and let me tell you – $35+ for a gloss at that time was a big deal for me! I loved, still love the gloss, and generally find the brand to be very, very good. They don’t have a lot of products, but they have excellent products. It’s still hard for me to bring myself to shell out $95 for their Kaleidoscopes even though I know it’s a good deal.

I bought the Le Metier eyelash curler. The pad split within 4 uses! And yes, I KNOW how to use an eylash curler – I’m 62! I emailed the company at their website – but never received a reply. No customer service! I contacted the retailer and they kindly sent me another pad. Very strange to have a pad split that soon.

Chris, I am very sorry your email went unanswered! As WWEDALYNNE said, this is unacceptable. The pad is designed to be softer than standard rubber pads, but should not have split after only four uses. Please email me at and we will try our best to make this up to you! -xx

My first Le Metier de Beaute is the Coral Nymph Creme Fresh Tint, and it set the bar of cream blushes so high that every time when I swatch a different one it just feels heavy and unpleasant! I have since then sampled an eyeshadow, a powder blush and so on. I’m not collecting too much just yet, but I can foresee my LMdB stash growing bigger!

Le Metier de Beaute is a new brand for me this year. I have only tried their eyeshadow and the quality is outstanding in the two shades I own which are very similar: Goldstone and Nutmeg. These two ‘gold’ shadows kick a$$ on any others I own. At this price point, I always read reviews and would certainly consider this brand for other items.

What a perfect topic to post my very first comment here on Temptalia. My first product from them was the Coral Nymph Creme Fresh Tint and Peau Vierge Tinted Treatment. Their products have always been outstanding in quality and wear time. I love it so much that I now have 22 of their eyeshadows, 15 eye kaleidoscopes among others. What I can say about this brand is that as far as quality is concerned, there is consistency and exceptional quality is more of a rule as far as I’m concerned.

I remember reading about LMdB in a little blurb in a December fashion magazine, I was intrigued. A short time later I was down in Florida and stumbled across the counter at Neiman Marcus (I think it was the Boca store). It was a Sunday, the counter was only about 3 days old and there was no one there from the line. I bought the Chinoiserie Azure kaleidoscope even though I had no idea how to use it. I also got a couple of glosses and never looked back! When I came home I figured out the closest location was King of Prussia and I trekked 90 miles but, as luck would have it, Dustin Lujan was visiting and he gave me a make-over. He spent hours with my friend and I showing us how to do the Couches de Couler technique and sharing lots of great make-up tips. Fortunately I no longer have to trek 90 miles to get LMdB but I would if I had to! That is how much I love their products. I own most of it, although I think Emilie has me beat when it comes to kaleidoscopes. I still use that 1st kaleidoscope! I have come to expect only the best products from them and they haven’t let me down. The only thing that impresses me more than their products is their people. No matter what make-up artist comes to town (Erin, Ivan, to name a few) I always have fun at that counter. They even answer my beauty questions via Twitter when I can’t decide what eye pencil to use in the morning. Now that is customer service!

I love Le Métier! My first experience was in 2009 when I walked
Into a Neiman Marcus and was introduced to the brand.
I proceeded to buy their lip gloss and liquid eyeliner. Ever since, I’ve gone back to stock up
on more lip gloss!

Never tried this brand. Advertised to be high quality. But I never gotten any products from this brand yet. I would get a Kaleidoscope, but the one I want is the one Christine has…(the one with the dark green color) The newer versions are look to similar in color. I think it should come out with one that has a blusher, two eyeshadows and a liptsick set…so good for traveling.
