I’m Plum Out of Indecent Proposals
bareMinerals The Indecent Proposal Blush ($22.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described simply as a “dusty plum.” It is a darkened plum with subtle red undertones and a very fine dusting of gold micro-shimmer (just barely noticeable when blended out). MAC Stratus is a more intense version–also has a stronger sheen. MAC Notable is more subdued.
Last year, bareMinerals released a pressed version of blushes–as part of the Ready range–after the success of their eyeshadows. I like their blushes, but I’m not as in love with the blush formula as I am with the eyeshadow one. I find the texture of the Ready blushes to be a little stiffer, less dense (lacks that buttery consistency of the eyeshadows). The texture is a smidgen powdery, though finely-milled and soft to the touch. When I wore this, I ended up pushing it to sixteen hours of wear (we took a trip down to Monterey!), and it lasted well for a full ten and looked noticeably faded after sixteen. It’s advertised as “up to eight hours,” so it certainly lives up to that claim and then some.

I really like this, and I don’t think I have anything quite like it. I don’t *need* another blush…but man, it’s tempting.
Really love that combination of blush, lipstick and eyes on you! Very flattering!! 🙂
Christine, another comparison question (I have some LE products from a few years ago that I’m terrified to run out of).
How would this compare to MAC Prim & Proper, from the Liberty of London collection? I don’t recall seeing a swatch in the gallery to take a look..
This is darker, more plum/red – Prim & Proper has a lot more brown in it!
Sorry Christine, I found the Prim & Proper swatch!! Please disregard my previous comment! Your thoughts on the comparison would be much appreciated – this blush looks a bit redder?
What foundation and powder do you have on? You look gorgeous!
Giorgio Armani Maestro + Guerlain Wulong I believe!
This color looks like it’d be a perfect mauvey-nude for me
Looks like MAC Plum du Bois to my eyes.
This looks gorgeous, but I do wish it looked more like it did in the pan. Once swatched/worn, those red tones really do come out quite a bit more
Just have to say that that combination of products is just stunning on you. You look absolutely beautiful.
This is really pretty, and I think it would work really well with my coloring, but I’m also looking forward to the new NARS blush for Spring, so I’ll have to wait on this.
You look so pretty!! That’s just perfect makeup (all of it!) if I’ve ever seen it!
I really like this. I kinda wish I would have bought it for fall.
Okay you didn’t list whats on your face! What is it? Your skin looks amazing.
I think it’s Giorgio Armani Maestro for foundation.
I really wish I wouldn’t have looked at this review, LOL! Man, this one is so tempting me, but I plan on getting the new blush from NARS on Tuesday (Come on, is anyone surprised by that? Didn’t think so, haha.), and I really want to try the newish LORAC powder cheek stains.
