bareMinerals The Magic Touch Eyeshadow Duo ($20.00 for 0.09 oz.) contains a light and medium-dark shade for a quick and easy eye that can be created with just these two shades. They’re easily combined with other eyeshadows in your stash, but they worked well together as a duo. Both shades were easy to use, good quality, and long-wearing. As a heads up, Presto was featured in a limited edition holiday gift set last year (see my post here); Flicker was featured in a holiday palette from 2012 (which I don’t recall reviewing).

Presto is described as a “cool champagne sheen.” It’s a golden champagne with subtle warm undertones and a pearly sheen. I kind of get what they mean by “cool champagne,” but it’s still a warmer shade. It had good color payoff with a soft, smooth texture that was blendable and lasted for eleven hours before creasing slightly. YSL Saharienne #1 (P) is lighter. Chanel Quadrille #2 (LE) is more beige. MAC Greenluxe #1 (P) is lighter. MAC Shroom (P, $15.00) is more beige, darker. MAC Ricepaper (P, $15.00) is similar. MAC Femme-Fi (LE, $15.00) is lighter. Estee Lauder Halo (P, $24.00) is a cream product. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Flicker is described as an “antique bronze.” It’s an earthy, olive brown with a subtle green sheen. It had good pigmentation, and the texture was soft and dense, though it was just a bit powdery. It wore well for almost twelve hours before fading. MAC Olive Blend #3 (LE) is cooler-toned. Too Faced Buche de Noel (LE, $16.00) is darker. Urban Decay Stash (LE, $18.00) is greener. Dior Bonne Etoile (384) #3 (LE) is darker. MAC Sumptuous Olive (P, $15.00) is slightly greener. MAC Fiction (DC, $15.00) is darker. Dior Khaki Design #3 (P) is greener. bareMinerals Eureka (P) is darker, greener. bareMinerals Speaker Box (LE) is darker. Make Up For Ever #148 (DC, $20.00) is less shimmery. Inglot #419 (P, $6.00) is greener. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

These look nice, but I think I have exact dupes for both. The other bareMinerals duo you reviewed recently is still on my radar though, I love their Ready eyeshadow formula.

Drat – I’m logged out again and can’t log in (same circular dance as last time!). Anyway, this is a lovely duo and the look you’ve done is so subtle and pretty. I think it’s this sort of look that has folks like me buying so many neutral eyeshadows and neutral palettes….a look I never tire of.

Okay, so here’s the weird thing….I can actually SEE my own “unapproved” post in this thread and when I click on my handle in other threads, it takes me to my entire profile – Wish List and all the rest (I need to be able to see my wish list!). So it’s like I’m “half” logged in, if that makes any sense (and the comments form is remembering my handle and email and keeping those filled in for me)

I have way too many of the BE Ready shadows, but somehow these 2 aren’t included in my currently owned palettes. Into the cart they go, along with the Covert Affair duo. Thanks as always for the great reviews, Christine!

Huh, on my phone Flicker looked much more olive, here it looks browner.

And OH MY GOD CHRISTINE – they’ve discontinued/made unavailable more than HALF of the Ready Shadows here in Australia!!! The Flashback, The Grand Finale, The Vision. The Last Call, The After Party – all GONE!! And not just those!! All the loose shadows are gone… They’ve only left the neutrally Ready shadows… I’m gobsmacked.

I know :O I know… at the moment I can still buy them, until they run out of stock. But I’m just blown away. The two retailers that carry them are both doing it. And it must just be Australia & maybe some other international destinations. because they’re not discontinuing them in the States (dear god no!!).
