Are you lighter or heavier-handed with your makeup?

I am more inclined to be heavier-handed, partially because I like pigmentation overall but also because I am working to show colors/finishes on camera.

I’m the totally opposite, I don’t like digging the brushes into things, I act like I’m scared to touch pans. 😅
I actually never realized until a Wayne Gosh tutorial on makeup application that I also hold brushes towards the upper end, while most people have the tendency of holding them close to the bristles.

I’m heavy handed when it comes to creams, and light handed when it comes to powders.

I like to apply base products with my fingers, so I tend to be quite heavy handed to make sure everything is blended in. I also like pigmented lipsticks, so one night say I’m heavy handed in that aspect as well.

But when it comes to blushes I’m quite light handed, I like a veil like subtle application. Everything powder needs to b lightly applied. Even for eyeshadows, while I like pigmentation, I prefer light handed application and blending.

Generally I am light handed, especially with blush as I don’t want to look like a clown. Every now and then I do get a bit heavy handed with the eyeshadows and then realise I have quite a bit of blending to do!
Lipsticks I like to be highly pigmented and I tend to apply them a couple of times to make sure that they stay on for awhile.

Depends. With eyeliner I’m heavy handed. Shadow not so much. Blush not much. Bronzer, yes. Lipstick yes. I need to up my blush game, it’s true as I age I do need to wear blush but I’m just not sure if I want to go in the peach direction or mauve. So I don’t. A New Years resolution to be sure for me: wear blush !
