Are there any brands you're hoping to explore in 2023?

The only one on my radar is Blend Bunny at the moment! I am looking forward to seeing what brands like Clinoadh Lisa Eldridge, and Phytosurgence release this year, so I hope to be ABLE to explore more of their lines as they develop them.

No! Unless something really catches my eye, I do not want to explore any new brands or products. I’ll be sticking with releases from brands that, for the time being, have my interest.

I’m cautiously optimistic regarding about-face due to the color selection and price point. I have yet to buy from Moira Cosmetics but I feel like I HAVE to get something from them eventually just for the packaging with my name on it lol. Lethal Cosmetics is a brand I have not bought but I like what I see on your blog so that’s probably in the cards too. Other than those there are no brands that have me excited to try a broad sample of their ranges, more like specific products only.

I purchased a bunch from Moira and honestly I’ve enjoyed all of it. I picked up one of the ombré blushes, color correcting loose powder, 5 cream shadows, 5 of the potted eyeshadows & the love letter palette (sold out). Definitely worth trying especially at their price point. I’ve purchased one palette from Lethal and it didn’t knock my socks off. The color story was gorgeous, I just didn’t fall in love with their formula. Hope this helps.

Now that Hourglass has FINALLY gotten the memo about inclusiveness across their entire line, I’m definitely looking at their new lipstick range and possibly a foundation. As IF I need another lipstick! But the formula looks very comfortable, well pigmented and buttery without looking messy.
Lisa Eldridge is another brand that I’m very interested in, as her eyeshadow palettes have more unique, even unusual shade combos that really appeal to me. And, if course, I would LOVE to get at least one lipstick from her Lucent line! As popular and gorgeous as her Velvet mattes look, I’ve heard far too many tragic tales of them breaking off even though the user was just winding it up enough to use the angled tip of the bullet. Haven’t heard of that with the Lucent formula, though.
And then there’s so many interesting Indie brands out here that I’ve been dipping my toes into! Phytosurgence, Moira, Clionagh, Nomad, Lethal all come to mind.

I have broken three of the Velvet lipsticks. I use lipstick almost every day and I have only broken a few during all the years since I got my first one and then it was because I had the lipstick in my pocket or standing in direct sunlight. The Velvet ones was not warmed up, after I broke the first one I was so careful and yet I managed to break two more.
I’ve not tried the Lucid ones, but I hope to in the future, just as I want to try her eyeshadow palettes.

You have introduced me to so many amazing brands. I will relook at ELF. I try to stick with brands that are compassionate, and there are so many affordable ones out there now. I get samples in my monthly bag, and it is amazing that there is always already a review here.

I am curious about Moira and after seeing the swatches form the new eyeshadows I really want to try Lethal Cosmetics, I think I may have an eyeshadow or two or three from them, but I have misplaced them. I’d also like to try About Face, though I’m still waiting for my order from Black Friday, I have been in contact with their support, so hopefully I’ll get whatever I ordered in a not to distant future.
Other than that, I don’t know, I do know that I will try to order from within the EU if I buy anything at least during the first half of this year as the postage is so costly when ordering from The US, annoying as I love SG, Fyrinnae and Clionadh and would love to try other indie brands.
So maybe I’ll give Lethal a try and elf, as I’m sure some local store sell their products.

I’m not sure if it counts as exploring a new brand since this is the only item to catch my eye, but I’m intrigued by Nomad Cosmetics’ new Verona: Love and Death palette (no doubt Romeo & Juliet-inspired), because it reminds me of the aesthetic of the Baz Luhrmann movie adaptation.

I am a massive Sydney Grace fan, but I am really intrigued by Nomad Cosmetics. I placed my first order this morning for some singles to try, and I already got a shipping notice! This on the day that they launched a new palette and probably have scads of orders to fill! I am excited to get my order and try them out, they sound like an excellent brand!
