Such a great shade range! I’d love to try the ABH Stick Foundations. I’d just have to figure out what color(s) to use. Thanks for posting this information, Christine!

According to their Instagram it’s 0.32oz/9g of product. For comparison, the Hourglass Vanish stick is 0.25oz of product. I’m looking forward to the reviews of the ABH, because I’ve seen lots of good ones about the Hourglass…only it’s $46 each where the ABH is $25. If people like the ABH as well, I’ll gladly pick one up myself. Even better since Ulta carries their stuff! Wish I had a Sephora closer by than I do.

Wow, the models all look stunning, like how diverse they are! It’s impressive that Anastasia launched a new foundation in so many shades, given that they originally started as an eyebrow company. I’m normally not a big fan of stick foundations, but I have yellow undertones and see a lot of yellow options, so will keep an open mind. And a stick would be great for travel or touch ups. Curious about that Banana highlighter

Julia Avatar

Stick foundation usually isn’t my 1st choice as a formula, but I am so impressed by their shade range- and the promo photos are incredible! Looove the beautiful diversity! I actually want to try it out, I just hope that Sephora gets comprehensive displays in store. While it’s exciting to have so many shades, it’s that much harder to pick the right one ?

I having been jumping on to the ABH website daily waiting for this release. For Olive peeps see the youtube post by Jordan Liberty (there’s a photo of the range with olive shades indicated underneath at 1:17 mark on the ABH stick foundation First Look video). I paused the screen during playback.

Criticism: I do not find these photos as being particularly helpful for shade selection. I’m not a pro and there is far too much makeup and fancy lighting going on to distract my not-so-keenly-honed-eye

I’ve ordered Ivory and Natural. Ivory looks close, but I think I might be a slight tone darker. JL has both of these shades labelled as olive. For $25 each, the two is the price of one for many other brands. I also picked up the highlight shade Banana and contour in Fawn.

Christina Avatar

I completely agree with the photos not being particularly helpful. I’m would say I’m probably at Warm Porcelain, but the model hardly looks porcelain in that photo. There is just too much lighting and photo manipulation to make it useful.

Sabrina Avatar

Thanks Wendy! I’m also olive and have always had issues figuring out my shade. Thing is, I’m not oily, so I don’t know if these would work for me? I might as well try, but I am unsure. Also I have no idea which shade to get lol I’m thinking that Warm Natural would be a good choice for me!

Wednesday Avatar

Good luck Sabrina! I hope it works out for both of us actually. I think the finish is not entirely matte which is promising. After reading info on both the ABH and Hourglass, I decided to put my money behind ABH. All my purchases from ABH this year have been winners. Hourglass foundations have yet to wow me soooo… Fingers crossed.

AB Avatar

I’m impressed with how this brand is diversifying, and because of other good ABH experiences I’m automatically interested. And, I see a couple of shades that might work for me. I certainly will look for this in stores to check it out.

Mo Merrell Avatar

I am such an ABH fan that I will actually try these out. I usually don’t go for these stick things but they’ve been great with color ranges so I’ll give it a go.

kjh Avatar

God, the darker shades look fabulous. Cool dark, esp. So hard to get right. I think they look better than some of the light to midrange. Kudos, ABH. Boy, has that co hit their stride! All these women look terrific. My inner Debbie Downer wonders if any of the loveliness is photoshopped. Hope not.

WARPAINTandUnicorns Avatar

I’ve been stupidly excited for this launch! I’m not sure what my shade is though as Alabaster, Warm Alabaster, Porcelain Fair, and Warm Porcelain is my shade range. If one of those shades is super pale (for my really Ginger skin tone people) I might pick it up as a highlighter.

I might even pick up the Fawn stick as I did like that shade in powder and cream pan. 😉

Dimana Avatar

Jordan’s work is absolutely stunning!
This is what a natural makeup should ALWAYS look like.
He has that magical ability to always bring out the best in every woman.
And all of the models are hands down gorgeous 🙂
Truly a stunning ad campaign! I hope that I will be able to test some of ABH’s products soon even though we don’t have access to them in my country 🙁

Mindy Avatar

And now I need to know what lip colors they are all wearing!!!

I think I’m going to be warm natural (probably winter and spring) or golden (summer and fall). This is the first foundation I’ve been interested in for a while.

Katherine T. Avatar

I think ABH needs to do tutorials on how to get these looks with what products! If I look even half as stunning as these models, I’d be pretty pleased 🙂

thirteen Avatar

I’m not really interested in these products but the fact that ABH released a new line in so many skin tones makes me more likely to want to purchase their products in the future.

Lacey Avatar

(Im)patiently awaiting reviews and tutorials. I haven’t tried a stick foundation since middle school, and I’m having no luck finding a liquid foundation that does what I need it to do. Also, I’m forever between foundation shades. Mixing stick foundation seems like far less trouble than trying to get the exact right blend of liquid every day. If these photos are accurate, I’d be Almond, Amber, or in between.

RiRI Avatar

me too. but i read in sephora’s website that it did not deliver. I hope you guys can post your insights. that would help me a lot – **an oily mess.

Veronica Avatar

Alabaster looks like it might work for my summer skintone, but I’ll have to wait to see if Porcelain is a good match for my winter tone. I’m not a huge stick foundation person, but I did like how easy those Maybelline ones were to tote around.

El Avatar

I think the series of photos showing the shades ‘in action’ is quite possibly the best and most inclusive illustration I have ever seen. Bravo to ABH!

Will definitely have to check these out when they debut.

Silvia Castro Avatar

FYI. You description of the shades are incorrect. ABH has updated the description of the shades yesterday. Example Warm Natural and Honey now says it’s an Olive shade.

Christine Avatar

Hi Silvia,

I updated them this morning after learning they changed them, but unfortunately, when I posted, these were the descriptions that Anastasia had on their website – these were what were posted when I made my purchases, for example, on their own website.
