Anastasia Dream Glow Kit
The Details
From Norvina, of ABH: “The closest comparison is the Nicole Glow Kit. This kit shares the same configuration as that kit with 6 pans. I worked really hard to suppress the white undertone found in all reflective colorful highlighters in order for this kit to wear beautifully across multiple skin tones. So what does that mean? Well I would never make the statement “This is for everybody” but it’s the broadest assortment of pastel glow that I’ve made in the most wearable formula from fair to deep. I’m proud of it as it’s no small task especially when you want to show pink on a deep skin tone and it looks white. Again this is as broad as I’ve ever gone, oh and this is important the formula is so creamy ?? I want to bathe in it truly.”

The colours look beautiful, but I can’t see how this would work for fair skintones? I think it’s a great idea to make a colourful highlighter palette for deeper complexions, so why does it need to appeal/be suitable for anyone lighter than medium? I would potentially look at it for eyeshadow if the colours are special, but yeah.. this isn’t highlighter territory for someone of my complexion.
If they truly made it so that the undertones are weak, they might as well look great on fair skin tones just like the ABH×Amrezy. I’m pretty pale myself and love that highlighter so I have hopes for this one!
I love Amrezy too, but I find lthe colour itself is very forgiving for lighter skins and it’s the lack of a base shade that makes it work on deeper skins, whereas these colours just look darker in general- I hope they prove me wrong as they look realllyyy pretty BUT I still think it’s more than reasonable to just leave out the inclusion of us pale folk in the direct marketing.. but that’s just opinion and I get as a business they want their products to appeal to as many people as possible ?
I wonder if they would work on fair skin as more of novel blush colors. I could see wearing Regal as a blush. I love that these are more neutral and cool toned.
You just asked about impulse. This would be a good example. But, with enough HL to see my entire community from Saturn, I can wait for reviews, and not be tearful, if I miss it. Aurora is my fave, though. The idea of sheer and colorful appeals to me greatly. Be interesting to see if this is a Norvina crock.
I think I am going to have to wait to see how this performs on VERY fair complexions. I own and love both the Aurora and Moonchild glow kits but I see myself adding this beauty to my vanity!
how did the aurora glow kit work for you? I got it on an impulse buy from marshalls but I’m kind of second-guessing (i swatched on the back of my hands, but that area is a lot darker than my face haha)
I really enjoy it! I picked mine up when it was recently on sale at Sephora. All of them make lovely inner corner highlights or just directly on the lid but for cheekbones I have only used Lyra, Luna, and Eclipse and find them all really lovely! I think especially since you picked it up on sale you should keep it and play with it. Don’t just think of it for highlight, you could transform some eye looks with it too.
i too would like to see how this performs on fair complexions before i buy it as the Nicole kit was an utter bust for me save maybe one color. it’s beautiful but i’d need to see it on some vamp porcelain skin before i plunk down that much. PS bad Habit Rose’ is a good dupe for Nicole and the colors are a bit lighter so it flatters paler girls more!
I’m actually interested in this. I do not need anymore highlighters but if she worked as hard as she said she did to make this look nice on darker skin tones then I am on board. Hopefully, it will live up to its claims b.c these do look beautiful.
Will this work on fair yellow skin?
Blue/purple/magenta highlighters are not for me, but i think its awesome that they are making things that cater to deeper skintones. I hope these do well!!
The fact this is their only glow kit where all shades included are designed to pull well on richer skin tones is a damn tragedy.
This. I wish companies would stop trying to make one-size-fits-all face products for consumers. Why not market it to medium-deep complexions specifically? This palette may not work for me and my skin tone *but that’s ok*!!!! I have tons of other options.
Pretty! Too dark for me, though, I’m guessing. I’ll stick with Moonchild.
Very pretty and also won’t work for me but I am happy to see a highlighter for deeper skin tones. There are so many highlighters out there for pale skin tones it is time for brands to include both ends of the spectrum and everything in between.
Thank god you said that as I’m not complaining about moonstone and some other kits but I feel like some of the consumers here are smh.
Pastels for those of us with darker medium up through very deep skintones? No weird white cast? Well, yes, please and thank you, ma’am! Count me as interested!
No white cast?? Call me interested.
I look forward to seeing this at TJMaxx
I own all the ABH Glow Kits and I can’t wait for this one.The swatches I’ve seen and pictures of it on different skin tones are beautiful and I’m excited to try it out.I like a colorful highlighter for a different look just like I like a glittery highlight!Just so they aren’t chunky or chalky. I like to switch it up!
Between Aurora and Moonchild, I definitely don’t think I need this one. Easy pass! I expect it’ll work on all skin tones, though.
