WHOA!!! I’m excited!!!
Yay!
I am excited for these cream shadows! The swatches I’ve seen make the colors appear gorgeous & vibrant. I wonder how similar the texture of these might be to the paint pots? This doesn’t mention if these can be used as a base or not… I do know that they are NOT crease-proof though 🙁
Hey Ariele! They are supposed to be cream-to-powder, so they should set a bit, but if you put a base it underneath it OR put shadows on top of it, it’ll also help set the cream texture to make it last longer.
I have spent a small fortune on the latest MAC collections, and at 10 I’m off to get the Curiositease collection. I promised myself that would be the last one for a while… but then I saw the Metal-X collection. I may have to make an exception… it’s glitter! I am concerned like Ariele is about the creasing.
Ouch!! You should be able to get it to not crease if you set with a powder (like eyeshadows).
Thanks for the advice!
My Macy’s MAC counter gals were lovely enough to let me play with the 6 samples they were sent (they were missing 6th Sin, Cyber, and Fusion Gold).
I ended up purchasing Goldspice and Plum Electric. Both of these have a cool quality where when you blend the edge, it really changes the look to the shadow. When I blended out the Plum Electric, the edges turned into a smokey purple-gray and with the Goldspice, from a rich coppery brown to a pretty gold.
Depending on how they wear, I’ll probably go back and play with the colors I didn’t buy. I may go back regardless to see if they do end up getting the last three colors.
If they wear well, it would be EASY to buy a lot of these.
Oh, you’re very lucky, Kelly! I’m jealous 🙂 Tell us how they work!
Did they even reformulate these glitter liners or just rename them? Sheesh.
LOL! Makes you wonder, right?
hi, girls i just bought the metal -x metalblu and the gilded ash and damm i feel like they suck i love mac products but i used every base u can think of and it still crease’s even with a powder shadow i dont know what else to think of for them not to crease??????????????
Awww! I found they didn’t crease if I set them with a powder eyeshadow. Have you tried them over paint pots?
