The new revlon mascara is horrible a lot comes out and it is clumpy. The foundation is very thin feeling and limited in colors I guess like the regular lines by them. Also the mineralize powders are no good. The only one that is ok is the light one and it would be ok for highlighting but the others don’t put out very much color unless you were extremely light in complexion.
You are so right about the mascara!!!! It is atrocious, has to be the worst product Revlon has. And I love revlon. I posted pictures on my blog of the wand, apparently Revlon thinks the way to provide volumize (sp?) lashes is by a wand that applies way to much gunky product. Yuk!
I applied the mascara to just one eye and had to take it off right after it began drying because it made my lashes so hard and almost flat (mine are naturally curled).
Such a dissapointment, I bought it because I saw the wand and thought it was really cool, maybe a replacement for my CGLashblast? And better because Revlon is cruelty free =(
I saw the other products and decided to wait on one of those BOGOfree offers to get them. I was hoping the new makeup to be really good and it has SPF20, sure gonna wait now to read more reviews about it.
Such a bummer to hear, Beda!
Thanks for the review, Tiffany!
Revlon Double Twist Mascara has got to be the worse cosmetic I’ve ever paid for. It comes out in large clumps. I’m returning it to the drugstore and writing Revlon to let them know how terrible this product is. It should be taken off the shelve.
I agree!! I have also been using Lash Blash and thought the brush on the Double Twist looked good. WRONG! It does come out in great gobs, so bad that I thought I was doing something wrong. It is also somewhat difficult to pull out of the tube although that does clear off the excess.I also am returning mine and commenting to Revlon.
I wonder if Revlon’s Double Twist is supposed to be the drugstore version of Chanel’s Exceptionnel?
I saw those mineral finishing powder and loved how they look to try them out but I’m waiting on the BOGO to get them, I have only seen the foundation in limited colors, they should extend their color range.
i bought all three mineral finishing powders and they are awesome!!! very buildable and not cheapy or glittery…the brighten is a beautiful highlighter and the darker bronzers work as perfect contours for me…i recommend them for anyone who doesn’t wanna spend damn near thirty bucks for mac MSF…as for the mascara…the only drugstore mascara i trust is maybelline and rimmel
I like Revlon, but Im not feeling this line…..but The mineral finishing powders are catching my eye, and the recently released highlighters (they look similar to MAC MSF’s) look great 🙂
I have to agree with the first two mascara reviews. I’ve used it two days now, in lieu of CG Lashblast (because of the cruelty free aspect) but it GLOBS so badly on the brush!!! I think the overall idea is good but the little collar inside the tube needs to be softer or something..i don’t know what but I’m so disappointed!!
Wow – I actually liked the Revlon mascara! I used it for the first time today. It did seem to flake a bit as I put on a second coat but I thought it built volume well. I twirled the brush as I applied – maybe that would help? I agree though that it seems harder than usual to put the brush back into the tube.
That’s great! I also did the twisting motion (after all the mascara is called double twist, LOL) but it was so messy. Yeah, part of the problem is that the small whole inside the tube makes it difficult to put the brush back, holding back a good amount of product. For me, the product quality per se is not good. =(
Its a sin that double twist isnt working and i think its the foatiormula….If you dip the ingenious wand in lash blast or any other mascara it works beautifully and eliminnates the need for a lash combing in between coats. The new foundation is ideal for mid day to latenight touch ups on oily skin types, it goes on like a primer and instantly goes super matte!
I’m really angry about the mascara. I thought the brush was really cool. It worked great the first day, then after that it was impossible to get the clumps off of it. I’m writing to Revlon too. You’d think the product would have been quality tested before being thrown out there for hard working people to waste money on.
I quite like the mineral mousse foundation, it’s light and easy to apply (with my fingers)! But, hey, I’m not a full-coverage lover, so I could see this being disappointing for some people.
I’m quite difficult to match in colour too, usually foundations are too yellow for me, but this is just perfect (I have n° 030 Light).
