5 Must-Have MAC Coral Lipsticks

5 Must-Have MAC Coral Lipsticks

About the Temptalia Must-Haves Series

A series of posts showcasing must-have products from MAC Cosmetics’ permanent line of products. Selections are based on quality, universality, uniqueness amongst the line, and the like. Limited edition shades are deliberately excluded to make buying easier. Readers’ comments act as a supplement to these lists of their favorites and must-haves. You can find the entire series here.

Crosswires lipstick is a creamy, pinky-coral shade with a touch of sheen. It has decent color pay off, as it is a cremesheen finish.

CB96 lipstick is a shimmery, frosty coral shade with lots of gold shimmer. This is definitely a very frosty lipstick, so I tend to use a gloss to help minimize some of the frostiness.

Vegas Volt lipstick is a bright, orangey-coral shade with lots of color pay off and a super creamy finish. This is definitely named well!

See two more!

Ravishing lipstick is a soft, peachy coral shade with lots of creaminess and pigmentation. It looks almost matte, with just a slight sheen to the finish.

See Sheer lipstick is a sheer, lightly coraled-pink. Despite having a lustre texture, it’s not overly sheer and does give some color to lips.

What are your favorite coral lipsticks?

Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I love this list! I absolutely love Crosswire and Ravishing. I tried Vegas Volt and it was too bright, but I think it might look okay, if I mix it with Myth. Thanks Christine!

I adore Ravishing. I’m not sure whether the Euristocrats lipsticks are going to be permanent, but Costa Chic is rapidly becoming my second favorite coral lipstick.

If I’m ever in a bad mood, Vegas Volt makes me feel better in a snap! Also, Crazee is great on the pinkish/redish scale of corals!

I have (and love!) Ravishing, but my new fave is Smashbox’s Phono Finish Lipstick in “Beautiful”. It’s a pinky-peach coral, and the texture is virtually indistinguishable from Ravishing. Even has that lovely vanilla smell!

I still don’t have, but I like Dame Edna’s Coral Lolyp, it actually looked great on you, when you did a swatch of it 😉

I feel like the Missy slimshine is a muted down coral and I like it. I may be wrong if it fits in with coral lipsticks though.

Would anyone be able to do a lip swatch (or hand swatch) comparison between see sheer and ravishing?

I’M TRYING TO PICK BETWEEN THE TWO.. I might just end up getting both :[

Hey Christine! How orange-y is Ravishing? I have really pigmented lips and a lot of people with the same problem have said it appears super orange on their lips. A lot of others have said it’s more peachy, which is the look I’m leaning towards. What do you think? 🙂
