10 Wedding Hairstyles for Brides To Be
10 Bridal Hairstyles for Brides To Be
Royston Blythe styled this model’s hair into a modern up-do by crimpnig hair, lighting backcombing it, and adding extensions by Racoon International. Try this voluminous up-do that’s both feminine and romantic. Allow a few tendrils to escape the ‘do to frame your face. If you have bangs, you can add a volumizing product and lightly blow dry them to give them some height. Using a glittering hair pin helps to accent the entire hairstyle.

The Royston Blythe Salon created this “vintage bride” look by adding hair extensions by Racoon International. They styled the hair by pinning it loosely in place for a “sexy in the city” look.
Go sexy and youthful with this twist on a ponytail. Royston Blythe used Racoon International hair extensions to add additional pieces to complete the look. Hair was tonged with large barrel tongs, then pinned into a loose ponytail.
Look like a princess on your wedding day! Royston Blythe recommends this look for a classic bridal look with a fringe and lots of messy curls in the back. To add volume and create the “puff”, take a large section of hair from the top of your head, tease it, and pin it into a bun. The addition of a glitzy tiara completes the look.
The Royston Blythe Artistic Team modeled this look after sexy model Bridget Bardot. Create tousled height, then pin into place at the crown leaving the rest of the curls to fall onto the shoulders.
Stylist Richard Ward created this classy up-do/twist by weaving hair together in pieces, then holding together with well-placed bobby pins.
Bernard Connolly styled this model with an image of elegance in mind. With a sleek swept up bang on one side and shiny, pinned up curls on the other side. Make sure you blow dry hair with a round brush to add volume. You’ll likely want to use hot rollers or regular rollers and let your hair dry, then define your curls with a large barrel curling iron.
Stylist Patrick Cameron used a simple braiding/twist technique to create this elegant look. He added glamour by placing jewelled hair accessories on the lower part.
Claibornes Salon swept up all of the model’s hair into an easy up-do. They pinned and piled loose curls on the top of the hair, and they let a few tendrils fall. The insertion of a glittering flower intensifies this hairstyle.
Hair stylist Anne Veck wanted bridal elegance, and she did so with these sleek, vintage curls kept close to the scalp.
Note: Not every hairstyle will work for you, and not every hairstyle would suit your personal style. These are hairstyles on models for wedding/bridal photoshoots for salons, and on that count, they may be more dramatic than your typical bride would prefer.
The first one…I’m sorry, I like the concept but it looks like birds are nesting in her hair!
LOL! Aww. I think there’s something elegant about it, but I can see why you’d say that!
I like #7 but I’d like it alittle more “done”
Got it!
7 and 8 are beautiful! the first few look a little too messy or haphazard for a bridal look for my taste…
There’s something about the first one that I like — though perhaps a little smoother and laced with pearls.
I like 6 the best. My wedding day ‘do will be similar to that. Eek, I’m getting married next month!
Pretty!! Congrats, Jenn!
The first few look like she just rolled out of bed…
Am I the only one who thinks that’s sexy? LOL. Depending on the type of wedding, I think it could work. I like the ponytail/loose curl one for a beachy wedding.
While I understand the concept behind the first 5 looks, they just have way too much “bouf” for me to take them seriously. They’re every 80’s reminiscent and not in a good way for me, I’m afraid. Maybe the ponytail one could look nice for a casual beach wedding, but that’s about it.
Numbers 6 and 9 are my favourites, they look very elegant without being too fussy.
8 looks pretty classy (I do so much much like the jewelled pins!), 10 looks pretty average but 7 just looks… weird. Avant garde I suppose, but not for me.
I want to lace the first one up with pearls for some reason!
When I saw the title I was excited as I am on the search for wedding hair styles.
These are absolutely ridiculous. Please redo with some practical suggestions.
Wow! Rude much?
I liked a few of the ones shown but a lot were beautiful even if they weren’t “practical” because they were different.
The only one ridiculous is you for being so unnecessarily rude. It was a fun post to look at and get ideas from. It sucks you can’t see it.
I agree. I wouldn’t wear any of these do’s.Especially for my wedding. They are way too over the top, and not my style at all!
Sorry you don’t like them, Haley.
Sorry you didn’t like them, Katie. Another set of wedding hairstyles is already scheduled to post tomorrow or the next day. Maybe you will find one of those to your liking.
‘Pls redo with practical suggestions’???
What? Does Temptalia or anybody owe you something?
I think Christine was super-nice for saying she hopes you’ll find more hairstyles that you like in the next posts. We all appreciate the amount of work that goes in these posts; some stuff may not be to our personal tastes but there’s no reason to be unkind in your comments pls.
Thanks Christine for always putting out so many ideas that we all can get INSPIRATION from.
I have to agree that the first five made me go, “Woah hey, are we back in 1988?”. Just too much ratting and poofing up for me. I think they look a bit sloppy.
As far as it being “rude” to point that out – we’re all here to share our points of view on beauty and discuss it, and it’s not a reflection of how much we appreciate Christine or her blog. Christine did not style these ladies’ hair I’m pretty sure 😉 I don’t think Christine needs to redo anything since she’s not the stylist. But the stylist might rethink those first ones 😉
As for which one I like – I think number 6 has a vintage charm to it. It’s polished looking but not oversimplified. Makes me think of the art deco era 🙂
I think the first five are my favorites – they just remind me of England in maybe the 17th or 18th century and elegant ladies, LOL.
i love #3 & #5!
Good picks, Andrea!
I like the same yours!
I don’t like the first few but the last ones are great!
Glad you liked a few, Lisa!
The hair looks so stiff and dry in some of these…almost wig-like. And I agree that some look rather sloppy. 🙁
Sorry you didn’t like them, Jennifer!
I like #1 and #5 the best, they are really uniqe yet classic to me somehow.
OOPS! i meant #1 to #5 haha
I agree that they’re definitely unique. I think they just scream vintage to me, and a part of me loves that!
The first five are scary…their big and over teased! hehe Maybe I’ll go for a more shiny, hair flowing in the wind look when i get married.
I just want to apologize for my comment above. I feel bad for posting what I wrote after reading all the other negative my comment. You work hard to post up these pictures. Thanks for all you do Christine!
No need to apologize, Chrissy! I don’t expect everyone to like all of them, that’s why we all got our own personal tastes, y’know? 😉 I’m more curious hearing about why people don’t like something than just that they didn’t, too. So I really appreciated you stating what you weren’t lovin’!
Hopefully by the time I get married, my hair will be ridiculously long. I probably want to wear mine down, too 😉
i really, really like the side ponytail one! except i think i’d do it a bit neater.
I agree it could be neater!
I love #8! Very clean, very classy, simple yet elegant. It’s a very poised look.
oops, i meant #6. Sorry.
Glad you liked it, Fatima!
awww…makes me nostalgic. exactly this time last year, i had just ordered my wedding dress (for a November wedding). i was prowling the entire net from top to bottom for hair & makeup suggestions. its how i actually found Temptalia and i’ve enjoyed it since.
i think these are great looks are for inspiration. i think so many brides (myself included) have been so frightened by the posterity of the pictures that we’re too afraid to show more personality or have more fun with our bridal look. i definitely was and went the safe route. I plan to have a funky 1 yr anniversary photo shoot to make up for it!
Ohh, I wish I could see your wedding pictures 🙂
I want really awesome photos myself whenever I get married!
good work nice collectoin
