Tropical Paradise: Black Opal Papaya Gentle Body Exfoliator

Black Opal Papaya Gentle Body Exfoliator ($6.95) is a great drugstore body scrub that you can find at a lot of your local retailers. I saw it at Wal-Mart (that’s the closest “drugstore” to me at the moment), actually. It caught my eye because it smells like tropical paradise to me–which I suppose is a mix of papaya, pineapple, mango, etc. All I know is whenever I use this in the shower, I feel like I’m getting ready for a lazy, summery day spent at the beach. (Of course, I’m not really, but it’s a nice way to wake up!) It uses papaya enzymes as a natural exfoliator and brightener, so it’s extremely gentle and can be used a few times a week.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Christine,

Thanks for highlighting this make-up line. It’s great but doesn’t get much publicity. In the last couple of years, it has become increasingly harder to find. Wal-Mart is one of the few places left that have it. There are some Walgreens that have it, mainly ones in the African American community. I am one, so I scour every store in my neighborhood. I love one of there old lipsticks thsi summer I am taking it to the Prescriptives counter to have it matched and re-made by there custom blending.

Thanks,
Lisa from Dallas
