- ColourPop Rum (LE, $7.00).
- NARS Mulholland Drive (P, $24.00).
Formula Overview
$30.00/0.4 oz. - $75.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "16-hour" wear and "40 seconds" of playtime "before setting to a budge-proof, waterproof and fade resistant finish." The brand also advised that if layered, the time it takes to set will be longer. As you might expect, the texture of the pencils was quite creamy and emollient, though I was surprised it didn't want to migrate as it was setting.
If you love being able to smudge or blow out your eyeliner, then this formula could be an excellent option. I didn't feel like I had to smudge or really "wait" before moving onto other areas of my makeup or just moving on with my day, though, despite it having a longer setting time.
The shade range was quite pigmented in a single layer, and the creaminess made the pencils comfortable to work with in the lid and lash line without pulling or tugging. They wore well for 10 hours on me before fading/thinning with about half the product still visible after 16 hours of wear.

Very interesting. I purchase four of these pencils, although the gold shade is a duplicate for my daughter. The gold shade is the only one I have used on my eyes as the other three are for my daughter. As I have mentioned before, I didn’t have trouble applying or blending it out but it never completely dried down on me. I am glad that I purchased the others for my daughter because they have pretty much all received A’s, if my memory serves me and yet, Renaissance Gold came close to falling below my cutoff which would be anything below a B rating. It does appear that it is somewhat of an unusual colors if there are only a couple of dupes but wonder what happened to the formula on this particular shade. I think I am going to pick up the green one and hope that she comes out with a good blue, not so deep that it looks black but deep enough to not read pastel. Something close to a navy.
I’m trying to think of ways that would possibly justify spending $30 on a single eyeliner and coming up short.
P.S. there’s a typo on this and the previous post stating that these contain 0.4 oz rather than 0.04 oz!
I love your liner reviews. Would love to see reviews on the Beckham liners, if and when. Many of your readers are quite impressed.
Hi kjh, I have heard really good things about the Beckham liners also. I haven’t purchased anything from her line, not because I wouldn’t want to but just haven’t a good feel for what would be a good purchase. Have you tried any of her makeup?
I have a LE liner from Victoria Beckham, it’s a black with silver sparkles. I find it excellent, it applies evenly, blends out easily and lasts a long time.
I definitely like the first two shades and it’s lovely to see a forest green anything this autumn (for you).
