Dior Rivage (533) Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Rivage (533)
Dior Rivage (533) 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette ($65.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a new, limited edition warm-toned, neutral color story that leaned fairly light. The formula used in this palette seemed to be drier and thinner with some powderiness along with shorter wear time than I’ve normally experienced with more recent Dior eyeshadow releases.

Rivage (533)
$68.00.
Rivage #1
Rivage #1 is a creamy white with subtle, warm undertones and a very, very subtle peach sheen.
- Mostly opaque color coverage
- Slightly thin, somewhat powdery, not as finely-milled as typical
- Applied and blended out well enough but prone to sheering out
- Average-wearing (7 hours before fading visibly)

Top Dupes
- ColourPop Rebel Spirit (LE, $4.50) is more shimmery (95% similar).
Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to have a "creamy and comfortable texture" that is long-wearing and has "intense color" (or "high-pigment"). There are five finishes that can be found within various palettes: matte, satin, shimmer, metallic, highlighter, and glitter, though there aren't specific descriptions by finish, unfortunately.
There were a few shades that seemed more sparkly and were sheerer, more like layering shades, while the other finishes tended to be pigmented. In general, the texture was moderately dense with the matte shades being slightly thinner and a smidgen powdery in the pan compared to the satin, shimmer, and metallic shades.
Aside from those more sparkly shades, the formula was blendable, pigmented, easy to work with, and lasted an average of eight hours on me (without a primer).

Heads up, fellow makeup lovers: this looks to be Dior’s reformulated non-talc “clean” deal. Which has me feeling a sense of dread for their new-new!
Also, definitely NOT medium thru deep skintone friendly! Boo! Hiss!
Not the best set of quints we’ve seen from Dior, although the shade 5 was fairly nice. But I have a better dupe fromLorac – Aurora.
I have nothing good to say about this palette, so instead I’ll just say…huzzah, I finally caught up to the present!
Another bland offering from Dior, and a strange colour grouping! They’d be smart to bring back something like Bonne Etoile (from years ago) – especially for autumn. For me, there’s no excitement with these 2 new 5-pan releases from Dior.
Another disappointing release from Dior.
Still looking for my holy grail of a neutral satin quad/quint…
