Lip Lust: Chanel Pin-Up Glossimer

If you’re a long-time reader, you’ll most likely remember that Chanel Glossimers and I haven’t been on the same page most of our beauty-lovin’ lives. In fact, I wasn’t sold on many of the glossimers I owned!

But I must say that I am now in love with Chanel Pin-Up Glossimer (#42). It’s this gorgeous shimmery concotion of gold and pearl and beige. But you know when it looks most beautiful? In the sunlight. Oh, yes, it simply looks radiant. Like shimmering gold water!

Falling in love with Pin-Up was a complete accident! In an effort to get through all of the lipglosses I own, I’m trying to wear them alone, even if I’m not doing full makeup. I plucked a glossimer at random, and I was just totally wowed when I saw my reflection in my car mirror. My pout looked gorg!

I’ve been wearing it a lot to class lately, but I think I’m gonna have to hide it for a bit so I can wear it come summer. The sun will be out, I will be outdoors more, and Pin-Up can really shimmer then!

lol i love glossimers! i totally know what you mean about how they look amazing in the sun. Have you tried a glossimer called Sideral? Its a very pigmented (unlike many other glossimers) fuschia shade packed with pink and blue glitter.. was LE but you can still find them in Saks Fifth or on ebay.

I’ve been wanting to try these for ages, but never got around to picking one up. Funny, last time I was browsing for them, this is the one that appealed to me!

I just love how certain lipglosses really sparkle in natural light. I noticed this the other day with my Guerlain KissKiss gloss in Fraise a Croquer – the gold shimmer stood out beautifully!

love chanel’s aqualumiere glosses, they’re stunning, and have been contemplating whether to start collecting a few glossimers, and girl, you’ve sold me!!

aqualumiere replaced chanel cristalle glosses which i used to collect madly, i loved the fruity fun shades, they were what weaned me off juicy tubes, miss cristalle. but then the aqualumieres are much bigger in size.

🙂 I’m wearing that right now. I got it as a part of a set that was on sale at Neiman’s. Love it – not sticky or too shiny/glittery, very natural.

It kinda looks like the Le Metier Dubai right? I don’t think I can find Le Metier products here (Saudi) and the international shipping rate is outrageous so I might just get this one from Chanel. We have many around here lol!:)

I took your advice again Christine and I bought this today. It is so lovely. I also bought Beige Guitare which is simmilar but has more of a beigy gold to it. I swatched a bunch of the other Glossimers and the ones that really stuck out were Seashell, Goldshine, Sunset Gold, and Pailletes.

Thanks for the review I was thinking of getting one of these but I live in Canada and havn’t seen any Chanel make-up at Sephora and don’t really know where else to purchase it. So I always have to order Chanel online and therefore really appreciate this review, now I don’t have to blindy order it based on the vague view of shades they provide on the site. Btw, it looks gorgeous on your lips.
