What color and finish of highlighter are you still looking for?
Still waiting for a range of more pearlescent, more transparent duochrome highlighters. I know duochrome highlighters exist, but they tend to be either too metallic for my preference or so pigmented that they are hard to layer with. Lethal came out with a few that were the closest I’ve come across, though!
I absolutely do not need or really even want any more highlighters but it hasn’t stopped me suddenly eyeing MAC’s Hyper Real palette in Flash + Awe largely because I’m afraid it will be gone soon…and it’s really pretty and sparkly and the totally illogical part of my brain is craving it! I may just break down entirely tomorrow when I go for my pedicure (the MAC store is a hop, skip and jump away from the pedi place!) Someone STOP ME!!!!
A sheer, not too heavy-looking highlight with a pink shift. I just ordered Sugar Drizzle’s Darlin Nikki highlight and hope that fits the bill 🤞🏼
I’m not looking for anything in particular. Any new duo-and multi- chrome combinations would pique my interest, however.
Now that I’m beginning to see crinkles when I smile, I’m looking at more gently luminous finishes instead of blingy, blinding highlighters. Cream to powder and ones like Auric and Salt NY are getting to be more my future shopping items going forward.
I’m still looking for the highlighter that doesn’t look like a highlighter. The one without odd colors or sparkles. The one you can’t tell it’s there but it’s there, looking like your face is shaped like that.
Same here!
I have been using my Pat McGrath trio highlighter and I have a few liquid ones that I like. Unpopular opinion however I love a sheer but micro glittery highlighter. It seems like all I see are the various colors of frosty metallics.. Of course I own many…I have never really been a fan of them – I feel like I apply… buff out.. then apply and buff out.. Ugh.. . I also want a highlighter to come out in skin tones to match my foundation… bronze golds beiges tans lighter champagnes. but more sheer…
I think for me, it would be a highlighter that has cool undertones and a soft satin kind of finish – nothing sparkly or shimmery.
I’d love a wet looking, almost transparent highlighter, only in powder. No sparkle. RMS has a beautiful, clear wet looking one but it’s cream.
Rituel di Fille Rare Light creme luminizer highlighters are my absolute favorite. Just light, no glitter, and looks good on my middle-aged skin. The only downside for some is the lavender scent (which I don’t mind, it’s not noticeable on the skin).
A finely milled gel pressed powder type highlighter that is not metallic and has a peachy-champagne color to match my skin tone. Many are too gold, silver, or pink leaning for me.
