They are not doing anything for me. Many of the swatches look so patchy and uneven which doesn’t necessarily translate to the lips, but certainly in the deeper shades.
Instinct or Inattendu, in other words: the usual suspects tone and depth wise that I lean towards when it comes to “nude” or MLBB shades. Which likely means there’s at least a dupe or two for each of these around here.
What does tone-on-tone mean?
There’s not much info, but this typically means choosing a lip color that would be similar to your natural tone – either your lip color or skin color.
Hmmm – lots and lots of similar kind of nude shades here, with very little discernible differences between them. Caractere and Instinct would be my picks at the moment.
Despite my love for pinky-nude shades, I’m surprised that I don’t see anything here that truly tempts me. The closest would be A Demi-Mot, but I don’t like it enough to spend that much money on it.
Hmm, for the price (which is even more $$ as I’m Canadian) these really do nothing for me. Incredibly sheer and a very easy pass… Thanks, as always, for your fab swatches 🙂
Man…I’m surprised these swatches applied better to lips. I’m not tempted but if I was Nuance would be it for me as I love medium to dark pinky tones.
The Rare Beauty lippies seem to be in this color family.
Although I love Chanel lipsticks and have several, not one of these new shades is for me. But for those who love muted shades, these are a bonanza. Money saved for the upcoming Tweed palettes.
I purchased 196 and 198 as well as a couple of nail polishes. I love all. My favorite of all four products is the 196 A demi-mot. It is my perfect nude. Which of these are LE??? Im going to need at least one back up!
I got 209 Alter Ego and it’s the most gorgeous red-brown’s I’ve ever seen- total fall vibes. The tone is extremely unique to my collection. I love how buttery this formula is and how buildable it is. It starts sheer but i can build it to be a pretty rich but not overly vampy brown. SO flattering on my neutral olive skintone.
