What was the last lipstick that caught your eye? Did you purchase or pass?

Dior’s new Forever line, which promised mega-long wear despite being a traditional bullet lipstick, so you know, I was interested to see how far short they’d fall, LOL. It was better than expected!

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in the shades Burnt Spice and Ruby Phew. I bought Burnt Spice, but passed on Ruby Phew. I normally don’t like liquid lipstick, but I recently started wearing Invisalign and needed a transfer-proof lip product. I think Burnt Spice will work well, but I’m afraid of wearing any red lipstick while I have to wear these trays.

The new Maybelline glossy vinyl transfer resistant lipsticks. I wanted so badly to buy the two most neutral ones, but unfortunately all of them were already opened at my local Walmart. People suck.

This is the answer for me too, I was just lucky to find an unopened one. I can’t decide how I feel about the tackiness of the formula, I have yet to really put it to the test.

Of ones I actually bought? MAC Heroine and Relentlessly Red Retro Matte lipsticks have been on my WL for what feels like forever! So when MAC had their Nat’l Lipstick Day with BOGO FREE, I jumped on that! So far, I’ve only gotten to wear Heroine due to it going with the rest of my LOTD and outfit/top. Might be wearing Relentlessly Red tomorrow night to my meeting, though.
Now as to ones that I’m longing to get, definitely some of Maybelline Vinyl Inks! As well as one or two of those Dior lipsticks that you’ve been reviewing recently. BOTH have herculean lasting power with beautiful shades, and I’m down for that!

I’ve lemminged on the Armani LLs since Christine first reviewed them. Isabella (Muse) noted a 40% sale on the brand site. I could not be happier.

I keep looking religiously at the new releases that have come out in the past week or two and nothing yet has caught my eye. I have not given up hope for the perfect mauve with red and some shimmer!

I’ve been curious about the new MAC Powder Kiss Velvet formula, but I’m iffy on the Powder Kiss lipsticks in general — they’ve tended to be patchy on me and I’ve really struggled with application. After checking out your reviews, I think this is another product I’m going to have to avoid. Shame, because I love the color Mull It Over, but I can not get a good application to save my life.

Hmmm – I keep seeing all these beautiful YSL lipstick for a bit of a sale on Ozsale, an Australian online retailer but they are still in $50+ price bracket, which is a pass for me – still too expensive.
However when I was at a local shopping centre, where they had a MAC store, I purchased their Fresh Moroccan lipstick – a repeat purchase since I love the shade so much.

I recently bought YSL The Slim Velvet Radical in Rouge Paradoxe, True Chili, Brown No Way Back, and Radical Chili after receiving and loving those shades in a sample card at Christmas (yes, I went 8 months until I actually bought them!). They came with a sample card of 4 YSL Rouge Pur Couture shades-Le Rouge, Rouge Paradoxe, Rouge Libre, and Nu Transgression-they’re pretty and I’m trying to decide how much I like them and if I have to have any of them (except Paradoxe, which I already have in Slim Velvet Radical formula).
