Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink Liquid Lipcolor Swatches
Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink Liquid Lipcolor came out a few months ago as a 16-hour liquid lipcolor with a vinyl-like finish and 16-hour wear, per the brand. There were 10 shades available at Ulta, which was where I purchased mine from, but I also learned recently from a reader that there are five exclusive shades to Target (though they are expected to rollout to other retailers soon), which I purchased and hope to swatch soon.
I picked the range up after testing Urban Decay’s Vice Lip Bonds, which have very similar look and feel in terms of actual product but had eerily similar claims and ingredient lists (not just one or two similarities!). Stay tuned for reviews!
And these look amazing, too! Plus, more “everyday” types of shades that I wouldn’t mind having. This, even though I know that I have far too many lipsticks as it is, but with masks seeming to be our new, possibly long-term reality, I will probably grab a few. I do still use my regular tube lipsticks, but keep to shades that are more neutral and medium-light just in case I get some smudging.
Cool that you’re doing a comparison between these and Urban Decay’s new glossy lip stains. I have 2 of the Urban Decay Glossy lip stains in my Sephora cart that I’ve been eyeing. Looking forward to if there’s a good drugstore dupe instead.
L’Oreal owns both brands, so I wouldn’t doubt they’re going to be nearly the same.
I don’t know why they’re undercutting themselves like this with basically the same product over 2 brands.
Differenr target audiences! Some people exclusively buy drugstore makeup, others buy exclusively sephora-range! This way they get both
I have Wicked and it’s really great.
Not that I am a liquid lip liker, but these do look pretty jolly good…wide range of shades, fairly inexpensive price, vibrant colours. Apart from the ridiculous wear claim – 16 hours, these lip products look promising.
Maybelline has great lip products. Looking forward to this review!
‘Cheeky’ has quickly become one of my favorite MLBB shades! And it really does last throughout an entire work day for me.
I would be very interested in the difference in between the two.
I LOVE that these seem to be a comparable alternative to the UD lippies. I DON’T love that Maybelline is not CF.
Oh my goodness, if these are similar to the UD ones I can get one and not feel guilty about it (I am so frugal)!
I’m staying tuned, indeed! Since the UD ones aren’t available in store and I want to see the colours for myself and swatch them to get a sense of the texture/feel, I’m much more likely to spring for these Maybelline ones. The price is better and at least if I can’t actually try them in-store, I won’t be wasting a bigger amount of money if I’m not happy with my purchases.
I have Wicked and it truly is wonderful. It feels very freeing to wear a bright bold red lip and not have to worry at all about it becoming a smeared Joker-esque mess. It even stayed on through showering! You do have to use an oil based cleanser to get it off though, micellar water will not work effectively. I find that Clean It Zero cleansing balm does the trick. I am not sure about the price posted in the review as my local Target sells them for $9.99.
They are $12.99 at Ulta – that is the price I paid!
I was tempted by the UD ones and was seriously planning to pick one up, but would absolutely get one of these instead!! Maybe one of the lighter shades if Wicked doesn’t measure up to the UD cool red (looks like it’s feathering a little in the pic?). Looking forward to your review and comparison 🙂
I much prefer the Maybelline color range. I see four or five I’d be tempted by here, vs one of the UD. Huh. Looking forward to the review.
Wow, these look fantastic.
And I see shades I prefer over UD.
