What’s your favorite place to shop for clothes? Generally, Nordstrom, since they have a good variety of brands, but I often shop at specific brand’s websites, too.

New Purchases: Hold onto your hats, ladies and gents….I actually ORDERED something, totally untried! Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser.
Weekend plans: I have a bridal shower out of town tomorrow that I’m not really looking forward to – one of those “we have everything we need so just give us $$$ or gift certificates”. To my way of thinking, showers were/are intended to help people starting out with the things they need to set up their home (or welcome a baby). If you have everything you need, why on earth are you having a shower (and taking away my Saturday)??? Brunch out on Sunday with hubs and a friend.
Favourite place to shop for clothes….I don’t really have one and shop at a variety of stores, mostly independents, or I’ll hit the fabric store and make something I want/need. When it turns out, that’s the best because I know I won’t run into someone else wearing what I’m wearing…
It does seem crass to have an ‘entitled’ shower, when there is so much need, dire need in the world. Certainly they didn’t plan it themselves? If so, both tacky and grubby. When I’m confronted with similar scenarios, I donate to what seems to be a relevant charity (although I’d rather give to mine, lol) such as pet rescues, women’s causes, historic preservation, religious or civic organizations. To me, that says ‘i recognize your values, but I don’t think you need jack….’ May their Beemers run over their Rolexes.

Purchases/rediscoveries: Since Sephora no longer carries The Ordinary Retinol 1.0 in Squalane, I purchased two bottles directly from the brand’s own site. Also, with Sephora giving 4x’s the points for UD up until June 8th, I purchased the Foxy Naked mini palette (fingers crossed that it works out, because I am usually very good at waiting for your review… except when there’s a great sale or reward!) and Vice Hydrating Lipstick in Uptight. As if I needed another “nude” toned lipstick, right?
Weekend plans: Meeting on Zoom, one essential load of laundry, and mostly stay in my place where there’s AC, Gatorade and water while our temps outside are now over the 110°F level. Hibernation time! 🥵🔥🏜️
Where’s your favorite place for clothes shopping? The Gap, Old Navy, Macy’s and JCPenney. Their cut on their clothing and sizing all seem to work for my body type, so I can usually purchase sight unseen online. Sometimes Marshalls/TJ Maxx or Ross if shopping in-person, too. I sorely miss Dress Barn!
RECENT PURCHASES: Sigma Untamed Palette (sale on the Sigma website).
WEEKEND PLANS: Tomorrow we’re going to Eugene again and taking my younger son and his girlfriend to see my husband’s uncle. His condition is about the same as last week.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO SHOP FOR CLOTHES?
I’m a *very* plus sized women, so Torrid’s website works really well for me. (It’s quite a drive to the closest store, and there’s more variety online.)
Recent purchases: Urban Decay’s new Foxy mini palette, since I couldn’t resist. The olive eyeshadows are both a bit cooler than I really prefer, but I’m still glad I picked it up. Dior Forever Glow in 0.5N, which I’m torn about because it’s a little dark on me but so so close to the right color. I keep wearing it anyway because I really like the formula, and my dry aging skin can’t handle the matte foundations anymore.
Weekend plans: Kid #2 just graduated from college and is moving back home tomorrow, so there has been a lot of organizing and getting ready for a full house again.
Favorite place to shop for clothes: Marshalls and TJ Maxx, as well as outlets. Online, ThredUP.

Weekend plans ? We just went through a stressful whirlwind of activity ….
Staged and sold our house ( while still fully living in it .that was …something ….) and finally found a temporary rental until this week that we will move into in July while our new home is being completed in the Spring of 2023
.So our plans are to just decompress .
Favorite shop for clothing ? Nordstrom’s good variety plus amazing customer service… plus some favorite local shops.
Winnie looks like my grandchildren when I am baking – they love to lick the spoons! Such a universal response to something yummy….. I hope you all have a lovely, relaxing time at your parents’ place Christine and enjoy the pool in your hot weather.
Recent Purchases: My Weleda order has arrived – the Skin Food, which I love, cream cleanser and a light day cream.
Rediscoveries: Maybelline’s Burgundy Bar and Milani’s Cinnamon Spice lipstick.
Weekend Plans: It a long weekend here in Aus – (Queen’s Birthday) and the weather has been quite polar. Lots of icy winds and lower temps thanks to an Antarctic ice stream.
On Friday I caught up with my two best girlfriends for lunch and a chat – it has been awhile, so we had lots to talk about.
On Saturday I am going to a market for our food shopping – our local shopping centre is undergoing rennovations and it is pretty tricky to find a park there at the moment and I just feel like a different shopping experience.
We don’t have any real plans for the rest of the weekend, but hopefully a country drive is on the cards.
Other than that, just the usual household chores and some reading.
Favourite place to shop for clothes: I have a few places that I enjoy browsing and shopping for clothes.
Myer (a department store), Taking Shape – their huge outlet is close to where my twin sister lives and when I visit her we usually go there to have a browse. Most of the clothes are more than half price off and I have picked up some incredible bargains over the years. Occasionally our Target has some really nice jumpers and their winter tailored pants are great.
Recent Purchases/Rediscoveries: I just adopted 2 kittens so my low buy has become a no-buy for the foreseeable future. It is worth it tho!
Weekend plans: Play with baby cats, introdude dog to baby cats on Sunday. Making art and doing housework the rest of the time, and dog park in the morning before it gets too hot.
What’s your favorite place to shop for clothes? Target. They offer a good selection of plus size stuff, the price is usually pretty great, and the sizing & quality are usually pretty consistent.

Weekend plans: Spending time with family.
What’s your favorite place to shop for clothes? Athleta. The clothes totally fit my style and lifestyle (since I’m very active), I know my sizing by now and I’m very impressed with the quality. The only things I buy from elsewhere are socks and underwear. 😅
Purchases: All 3 Urban Decay mini Naked palettes & Anti-Aging Primer Potion; LORAC Unzipped palettes in Original, Gold, & Amor.
Weekend Plans: Working, as I do every “weekend”… I’m off Mondays, so I’ll likely take my daughter to get our nails done.
Clothes: I’d have to say Express; not only can I always find something I like; the sizing is very consistent, so I almost never have to try anything on & can confidently shop online. Plus; they have a great rewards program & coupons, and are almost always having a good sale…
I also enjoy popping into thrift stores on occasion…
Recent Purchases: Benefit They’re Real mascara which I am trying because they reformulated PMG Dark Star and it now give me headaches

Clinique Chubby Stick Eye Tint in Lots of Latte for when I want to wear makeup but am to lazy to do my makeup
Fenty Beauty Poutsicle in Zesty Bestie which I love and now need in red. Very easy to apply even for me and not thick or goopy. I hate goopy.

Weekend Plans: Reading mostly. Going to the library. Church. It is going to be a quiet weekend!

Recent Purchases/Rediscoveries: My clearanced-out Haus Labs lip products arrived on time yesterday!
Weekend plans: Worked all day yesterday, weekly grocery run in the rain tonight, dodge rain tomorrow.
What’s your favorite place to shop for clothes? I can usually find cute tops at Walmart, and I always buy my jeans at Old Navy because they have a good selection of rises and leg cuts and their sizing fits me well.
Recent Purchases: A few single shadows – Good Gawd and Fairy Acid from JD Glow and Dear Reader from SG; also, the Blend Bunny Blends palette.
Rediscoveries: The Becca Dewing Skin Tint… it makes me look like the Tin Man at first, but once I set it with a fine layer of powder it is so lovely.
Weekend plans: I cleaned and disinfected SO MUCH to get rid of as much of the strep and covid as I could.
What’s your favorite place to shop for clothes? Wherever offers a good variety of sizes and things that aren’t overly young; it varies season to season, year to year. Some years I have great luck at Target, others at Old Navy. I hate shopping during the summer months because everything is cropped and I hate wearing shorts.
