Makes me think back to the days when women actually DID use rose water for good skin. Let’s see how this brought back skincare item actually does in 2022, though.
Wow – it will transform my skin “in an instant”???? I can’t wait to try it….
I have never been impressed with any skin care developed by a makeup house. It will likely be beautifully packaged and cost way more than a comparable mid range toner.
So true. I just got a 2 ounce bottle of hypochlorous acid spray for half the price that a 1 ounce bottle of the same product by Tower 28!!! And I’ll be getting a bigger bottle once I use this one – this stuff is wonderful but there’s need for the fancy price tag from a fancy-schmancy brand!
oooo where from
Amazon. I checked back and it was thanks to poster “Z” that I even learned of this product and where it was available very affordably!
thanks! iām seeing a few brands. which one did you pick up and like?
I got the 2 ounce travel size from e11ement and I’m so pleased with it. Once I’ve made a dint in it, I’m planning to order a larger size, either from this brand or one of the others with a good rating (it will depend on whether there’s a shipping charge – I’ve got Prime but not everything qualifies for free Prime shipping and I’m not willing to spend on shipping if I can get free shipping). I saw another brand when I chose this one but now I’m not seeing it (should have added to my wish list, though I now see that the 8 ounce bottle does qualify for free Prime shipping and has a 2 dollar coupon as well – these details seem to change almost weekly),
thanks so much!
Spot on.
I am always skeptical of makeup artists branching into skin care. I can understand that adding a good, deep moisturizer will give you a beautiful makeup application so I am sure that her “essence” likely makes the skin look nice for makeup application. As far as long term differences, which we would all like our skin care to deliver, we will have to wait and see. I remember about 15 years ago, I was at a store and there was a woman there who was likely in her 70’s at the time. She had the most amazing skin and while I am sure a lot of it was genetics, she really seemed to glow. I asked her what she used on her skin and she told me that she didn’t use anything except a “cheap” rose oil that she got at the 5 & dime store. She said she had been using it for like 30 years. I was tempted to get it but never did. I know that rose is an ingredient that people tend to really love or really hate and it either makes your skin look amazing or you have one constant breakout.
Lol. No, thank you.
Skin care is the new eyeshadow palette. Everybody is coming out with it and I have a strong suspicion that 99% of it is exactly the same with a different name slapped on the label.
Mmm I didn’t see this coming.I never use an essence on my skin but I think it’s similar to a serum. The bottle looks pretty, no surprise it’s pink. Pink must me Mothers favorite color.
I would love to see the actual product,..lotion, gel…? I am def interested
I am sure this is a pretty good product – as Pat is putting her reputation on the line for it, but rose essence and I do not get along at all. I tried a rosehip oil once and it affected my sensitive skin…..
Besides this product is going to retail quite expensively and really if you want to trial a rose essence, The Ordinary has a rosehip oil that is waaay more inexpensive and you can trust the ingredients.
Thatās a very attractive presentation, but considering how expensive it probably will be I would need them to give me a lot more in the way of actual evidence of benefit to the skin to really interest me.
but, but, but – it PROMISES to “transform skin in an instant”!!!! Are you suggesting maybe that’s an exaggeration???? (she asks, with a hint of sarcasm!)
I would have to see the ingredient list, but Iām not too hopeful of a product with rose as the hero ingredient. I just havenāt seen any dermatologists or scientists (not that Iām an encyclopedia of knowledge) touting the beneficial effects of products made with rose.
Iāll stick to tried and true, scientifically studied skincare products.
not gonna lie, might want to try it just due to fantastic packaging. iāve tried quite a few famous essence and they all feel pretty similar so maybe itās just a step where it doesnāt really matter too much where itās from
Rose water and The Ordinary’s Rosehip oil are significantly cheaper. I don’t think there’s too much more from roses. Any part of the rose plant cannot change your skin in an instant- well, not in a good way.
I received the email about this and first thought? Oh, she is going down the skin care route now.
Perhaps this is why we have been getting so many palettes with the name rose and pink shades? Preparing for the Rose skin care range?
I have sensitivity on my face and cannot use anything with rose. Totally okay with rose perfumes or even body products, but on the face, no.
Dermatologist here. This is šÆ gimmick. There is no evidence for rose as a skin perfector – instant or otherwise, nor for it to transform or enhance anything on the skin. I suspect putting roses on a product makes it sell better in the West, just like putting Sakura on anything in Japan. And rose/pink is probably the color most likely to sell her product in market testing.
The whole thing is just as everyone else has said – an overpriced money grab by yet another makeup artist/pop star brand cashing in on other face items a consumer might need. Expect all manner of salves to emerge from PML soon. Iād wait until the invariable 25% sale, 50% oops our bad, thanksgiving handouts to try this stuff.
Hello, where’s the price of this? All I have seen is when it’s coming out,no mention of it being in department stores.Building up the hype that she has a skincare item out and hiding the price, mmmm! A bit sneaky IMHO.
It is listed above!
