Looking at the swatches of the shadows, I’m pretty sure this can’t even begin to hold a candle to Empreinte du desert! Four shadows and three are almost the same.
What is it with these “high end” quads, where there are several almost identical shades of of the 4? Is this just lack of imagination or laziness of the creative team?
Noticing same over the last 6 months or so and thinking it is a trend due to more natural makeup looks being prevalent? When I pony up for a luxury item like this, I want greater contrast/versatility. Hope it goes away. 😁

Whew….I’m feeling the same as you, Genevieve! And I’m relieved, since Chanel is no longer easy for me to get my hands on in person, so I always feel this sense of relief when new releases (especially the eyeshadows) are things I don’t even want.
Not my color story. I do love a good Chanel palette but this one isn’t calling my name. I am disappointed that I didn’t get the LE Mediterranean quad that is sold out every where except Ebay where it is running a couple hundred. So, easy pass for me.
