We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Sort of what I expected. What’s an “instrumental evaluation” (were the women oboists or French horn players who had their lips evaluated before and after?)? I still want to know WHAT it protects from…it’s great that 21 women found it but what did they find???

I am always, ALWAYS, dismayed when a company’s claims of these wonderful results turn out, when you read the small print, come from “a test group of 33 women” or other really small number that is basically meaningless.

I seriously doubt ANY lipstick can provide 10 hours of wear, unless it is made of steel – not exactly comfortable on the lips. These excessive wear times are unrealistic. Those kind of lipsticks end up making my lips very dry and chaffed. Anyway, the reviews will tell the real story. The shade colours look good though.

I assume that the wear claims are hyped as nothing wears that long on the lips without turning your lips into a desert wasteland. However, I do like the idea of refillable lipsticks if the price point is favorable. I am sure I will love several colors as I am a lipstick junkie but I am going to try and fight it and hope that none of the colors are particularly unique, or if they are, they are in the nude lip range which is not something I am drawn to. Can you imagine a dried up nude lip with cracks and fissures? Not attractive.

Ouch! Expensive!
I don’t care for the PR photo of the lipstick on a red surface, for me it’s hard to see the colours without really studying every lipstick. I think I have a fairly good colour vision, but obviously not when it comes to tine, mostly red things on a red carpet.
I can say that lipstick can last 10 hours, I applied UD En Fuego before walking the dog, fell asleep on front of the TV and woke up about 10 hours later with the lipstick still there, but then I didn’t really move, speak, eat of drink.
Oh, and my son took the next walk with Stubbs.

Chanel used to be my favourite brand for about 25 years or so… I cannot buy anything from them anymore. Colors are bad, formulas have gone south, the whole new concept is just so far away from what it used to be.

Thank you for listing the color names, as well as the numbers.
I was surprised to see the inelegant manner in which Chanel.com provides only numbers.
