Do you reach for different colors during autumn?
Nope, not personally, though the nature of wearing newly-released products means that I tend to wear whatever brands have deemed trendy at the moment.

I reach for all colors all year long, but I do tend to go more smoky during the colder months. Still colorful, but more smoky.
Fall: With eyes, go darker and ‘richer,’ the colors of the changing leaves, SG autumn’s reign, etc. I’m one of the few that uses pastels in warm weather and they might creep in again during a winter icy period, but pastels are out for fall. Lips: same all year round as do not favor lighter shades, except some mauve and Greige. Cheeks vary a bit, bec being my age, I go for matchy-matchy. Outdated? WGAF. Dark red lips means dark red blush. Brown means brown, etc. In a way, it’s a variation on monochromatic, which still seems to be going strong.
All my products get used year ‘round but come autumn, I reach for shadows like those in Dior’s Bonne Etoile or Chanel’s Tisse d’automne palettes and an old Guerlain lipstick called Habit Rouge much more often. Those sorts of autumnal colours are my favourites. Today I’m wearing shades from the ABH Mario palette and they too have a wonderful fall vibe.
No, being a autumn/winter coloring means that the season finally matches my color season!
I wear the same colors-both makeup and nail polish wise. I do maybe wear red lipstick more often in the fall.
No, I never change colors with season, I just wear whatever I like.
Pre-pandemic I had the tendency to wear bolder colors more during autumn (and winter). But nothing stopped me wearing a dark burgundy lip in spring or summer.
Yes. I change my nail polish to a dark color from my current yellow. And I don’t tend to reach for my bright metallic green or pale pink shadows.
No. I wear whatever I feel like year round. Though if the end of summer was super hot, I would most likely be wearing neutral one-and-done shades. I’d definitely go back to my usual colorful eye looks once cooler weather appeared.
I do. I go a little to a lot more smokey eye. I love a fresh eye look for spring and summer but come fall I bring out the navy and dark grey and black liners and shadows. Fall is my time of year !
Yes!I find for me as the light gets cooler and the nights longer , the Spring/ Summer palette tends to wash me out .
I reach for richer , warmer shades in clothing and makeup golds , bronze , browns ,bricks, russets lots of greens and smokey.
Yes, I do tend to go with more richer neutral looks in Autumn, using more gold, bronze, olive and brown combinations. The palettes I tend to reach for are: Chanel’s Tisse D’Automne, Dior’s Bonne Etoile, CT’s The Rebel 2020 and Pixi Beauty’s Reflex Light.
For lipsticks – it’s my all year round favourites of Maybelline’s Spice for Me,, CP’s Foolish, Tea Thyme and LA Lady.
I kind of do once we get deeper into autumn. Out come my burgundy, darker plums and rustic shades for lips and cheeks. Plus, smokier purple or taupe eye looks just get put into my rotation around November. Autumn here never really feels like a really noticeable difference. It’s always still so hot until then!
I used to use makeup more seasonally when I was younger, but now I just use whatever catches my fancy on that day!
Yes, I tend to go by color season. So, deep warm grungy tones in fall, deep cool in winter, pastels pinks and brights in the spring/summer. I take out my darker lipstick colors this time of year and put away warm bronzer tones for face, switching in cooler contour shades.
I tend to crave more brown lipsticks in the fall compared to the rest of the year but that’s it.
I tend to wear autumnal colours all year round, as they’re my favourite
Yeah, not intentionally exactly. Something about the fresh smell of fall makes me want to wear burnt oranges, yellows, and swampy greens. It’s not a conscious thought, but it’s what I’ve noticed happens when I look at my collection in the morning and say “ok, what do I want to use today?”
