Sephora 12-Hour Contour Eye Pencil Swatches (x21)
Sephora 12-Hour Contour Eye Pencil ($11.00-for 0.04 oz.) were reformulated and repackaged–the ingredient lists do not line up with the prior versions!–and there are now 21 shades with some repeats, some new. Here are swatches of all the new shades!
Curious to see how these perform compared to the previous version. Sangria is absolutely beautiful and I don’t have a plummy red color like that in my collection. I am going to pick that one up. I love the greens and browns, but recently got some from CP so can skip those for now (but as those are shades I go through quickly I’ll try the Sephora brand next!)
I’m reaaaaalllllly hoping that Sangria is good because I don’t want to shell out more $$$ for the Natasha Denona new burgundy liner.
They look good. The previous iteration was fabulous for the price and had so many unique shades. Hope these are as good.
I don’t understand why all these brands are reformulating products that did so well already! Beats me.
At least I am still seeing some of my favorite shades, so perhaps I ought not complain? But I can’t help myself.
Agree and agree.
I picked up one of colors Christine introduced me to and my favorite shade “My Boyfriends Jeans’ but haven’t used it yet to compare to my old one. I hope it’s the same or better formula.
I have never found a company that reformulate’s and it ends up being better.
I love these Sephora liners!! Pretty much budge proof. Great colors! Not sure if they changed the formula, or just the packaging. Also better price than Makeup Forever. I hope they come out with more shades.
Now these eyeliners, in contrast to CT’s paltry offerings, look bright and vibrant is such an array of colours. It’s always a risk, when brands reformulate a much loved product, whether the new formulas are as good as the old (and sometimes they are not). So only a review by you Christine, will tell.
However, I do like the shades of Cappuccino (much loved by Mariella here), Fresh Mint, T Rex and Golden Hour. I really hope they are goodies.
Interested in how these are vs. UD pencils. The last few UD pencils I bought have seemed off, like they are old. Ready for a new brand.
I so hope these perform well!!!!!
I wish the blues and greens were also available in matte. I have some previous Sephora waterproof pencils and they are pretty good, nice and vibrant colours.
I’m 100% convinced that these are the Marc Jacobs Highliners, since MJ is leaving/left Kendo, Sephora Collection took over the formula.
The ingredient lists don’t seem very similar to me, but you could compare them for yourself to see! 🙂
I already nabbed Sangria, Aloha as backups because I was freaked when they were discontinued. I also picked up Soft Rose which is very unique. I may pick up cappucino and cocoa. I have always admired this line.. I hope the new lives up to expectation.
Black lace has been a standby, so I hope this reformulation is good.
Ooh, I like T-Rex! Hope these perform well 🤞
Crossing all my fingers and toes these are good because my Marc Jacobs high liners are just about dried up and the future of the brand seems very much uncertain
I like these pencils, matte cobalt and olive are pigmented and long wearing. They’re not as creamy as UD, but they work well.
I’m wearing the old Flirting Game right now, love it. Wonder how the new formula compares, especially now that Urban Decay discontinued Underground (my fave taupe!)
