Lisa Eldridge Spring/Summer 2021 Collection Swatches
Lisa Eldridge Spring/Summer 2021 Collection became available for pre-order last week (some things are sold out now), and I just received press samples of many of the new products. I also purchased the remaining items, so when I receive those, I’ll be sure to add those swatches as well. The collection includes two new formulas: cream blush (in six shades) and liquid highlighter (in four shades). There are six new lipsticks and four new lipglosses.
I got Dance Card and Rose Official for myself, and the Charm Gloss for my mom. I will get a lot of use from them. I cannot wait! This fall I might pick up a highlighter and blush (leaning toward Pink Poetry or Mountain Walk, but waiting to see how present the fragrance is in the blushes as I tend to react.) I also look forward to seeing the foundation she’s been teasing.
Christine, thank you for the swatches. The 6 lipsticks all look fairly similar in your lip swatches; do you find these less pigmented than her last Lucent lipcolours (if you have those)?
They seemed sheerer a bit, though similarly buildable, but these are more of a true satin finish.
Agree, they do all look rather similar on both swatches. The other formula has a lot more contrast when applied to the lips. I ordered 5 of the 6, as 1 was already sold out (atomic cherry) – but now think I may not get it if they are that similar in hue on the lips.
Whoa, the lipsticks all look the same on Christine. I hope this will not be my experience or the fact that I ordered several will be very disappointing!
Ugh. I’m pretty bummed about my lipstick purchases. I knew they were sheer, but man. My shades will barely show up on me.
Her makeup is such great quality I just don’t find the colors too wearable in the lipsticks but I think these are better. I’d love to try everything due to the fantastic quality but I just don’t use liquid face products much and I have enough. I did order dance card – songbird and charm.
I’ll be excited to get them. Mine haven’t shipped yet. She is such an engaging person.
So many beautiful semi-sheer “lucent” shades above! The one that caught my attention most of all, partly for its name, is Kitten Mischief 😽
I pre-ordered the Cosmic Rose highlighter, Venetian Red and Pink Poetry blush, Rose Official and Spirited Away lipsticks, and Beauty and Affair lip glosses. Most excited about the highlighter and blushes!
The lipsticks look a little too sheer for me, but the shades are right for your summer. Very pretty.
I’m hoping these are buildable. I ordered Dance Card, Kitten Mischief, Painterly, & Rose Official. Also Love of My Life from a previous release.
Thank you, Christine!
These new colors seem to be more buildable. In fact, she said they can go from a mlbb look with one swipe to a more opaque color by building it up. It’s nice that we have options because the “mlbb” color is quite different for every skin tone.
From your photos, Crystal Nebula looks very similar to Auric Morganite, but makes pores less noticeable.
I got Rose Official, Crystal Nebula, Morning Walk, Pink Poetry, and the gloss in the color Blush.
This is my first Lisa Eldridge purchase. In the past, when Ive seen one of her products that interested me, I have gone to her site to find everything is sold out! So I preordered Spirited Away, Kitten Mischief, and the highlighter, Cosmic Rose. Now that I see your swatches, Wish I would have picked up Pink Soap instead of the highlighter, but now most of her blush shades, including that one, are sold out.
Lipsticks look beautiful, but swatches seem so light on the lips. I ordered Painterly because it seemed the most pigmented. I hope it will be buildable.
Thank you Christine for a wonderful post!
I do not have any interest in this collection.. not products that speak to me or that I tend to use… the lippies look sheer and similar.
I have to admit that I am disappointed in the lipsticks–I ordered five of the colors and when I put them on, I was underwhelmed. I know they are supposed to be sheer and can be built up but even when I add more and look in the mirror, I don’t find myself saying “Oh, what a pretty color!”. They just don’t do anything for me. I guess I prefer her velvet lipsticks because they are more pigmented and stay on–these new ones don’t seem to last 2 seconds. I am going to return them. The blushes, however, are great–pigmented but easy to apply and don’t look uneven or blotchy. The highlighter is also lovely and the lip glosses are very nice as well. If only the lipsticks had looked better on me. Oh, well, you can’t win them all!
