Natasha Denona
I really love that the brand came out with the smaller, 15-pan palette size–I think that is so much more appealing compared to the full-sized 15-pan palettes. I would love to see an extension of the singles range, though, as a lot of the shades released in the various palettes (both limited edition and permanent) are exclusive to those palettes, even though you can pop them out of them.

I have a lot of ND face, which I love but no eyeshadow palettes.
Wait I stand corrected, I have the mini retro palette.
That’s telling me her shade ranges don’t appeal to me, and/or they are too large and ergo too expensive for me to invest in for the few shades I love/want.
Well I love the brand although I’m not a collector so I don’t have everything. I just wish she had more of those midsize palettes that are $65.
The bronze palette shown I wish I hadn’t bought as almost every shade looks the same on me. But bronze isn’t really my color.
I love the Circo loco packaging but haven’t purchased it as I didn’t think I’d use those colors much but now I’m kinda wanting it but would of scooped it up in a heartbeat for $65.
I’m at the point in my life I can afford more but just don’t want to buy things I won’t use too much.
I love her eyeshadows and blushes. She comes up with some great color stories. I wish her prices weren’t so high. If she got rid of the big $129 palettes or offered them in the midi/$65 palettes as well, that would make me very happy.
I love her matte formula; it’s one of my favorites. I think the last few releases have been more colorful, which I appreciate. I do think that she should stop production on her larger pan sizes and stick with the midi size. It’s much more affordable and still plenty of product.
I’ve had good luck in the past with her products! Her eyeshadows that I’ve tried are beautiful and I’m always interested in seeing what she comes out with next. I won’t, however, *ever* be buying an eyeshadow palette for $129. That’s just not happening. It may be petty, but I always find her model promo shots so unappealing. The poor girls always look covered in extremely heavy foundation… in 100 degree heat. There comes a point past which “glowy” is too much.
Love: Colour stories, mini palette options, cheek formulas that are amazing
Hate: That the most colourful palettes (Circo Loco, Trichrome…) are the most expensive. I’d much rather they were priced the same as the medium-sized ones (e.g., Glam palette). I love the vibrant, fun shades but I know I’m not going to be wearing them every single day. I find that, for the price, PMG has a better balance of colourful and classic. (I’m also a little hesitant because ND’s very sparkly shades can bother my eyes a bit.)
I love the texture of the ND eyeshadows, especially the shimmers.
Like several other commenters, I wish ND would release more of the mid-sized $65 palettes. I don’t buy large palettes. I hate how awkward they are to work with on my small vanity counter and I don’t need such large individual shadow pans, either. I am more likely to by 2 $65 palettes than one $130 palette, just because.of the physical size of the palettes.
I like that the eyeshadow pans are magnetic and easy to rearrange within palettes.
As another commenter said, I have been a bit disappointed in the Bronze Palette. The colors are all super similar and give pretty much the same look every time, unless I pull in colors from other palettes. Also, all of the colors are too dark to be good transition shades for me in that palette. That bring said, I still reach for that palette pretty frequently, as the warm copper/bronze tones look great on my skin tone.
I like a handful of her eyeshadows. I dislike the palettes in full – color stories have too many “dupes” built in to the palettes, INCONSISTENT FORMULA, and the price is too high for said inconsistent formula. I own the Gold palette and while I enjoy it, I would never, NEVER pay full price for one of her palettes ever. They’re simply not worth it. She doesn’t have a bad formula (for the most part, some of those little ones I’ve swatched were abysmal); but that formula isn’t worth $125+ and certainly you’re not paying for packaging.
Would never spend that much on her eyeshadow, too overpriced
Now that I have one of ND’s palettes – Glam, I can see how the brand has developed over time to deliver excellent palettes. The 15 pan size is just right for me.
On the negative side, they are still very expensive here in Aus – the 15 pans retail for around $100, so you have to be sure you like all or most of the shades.
I like the smaller pans like in the Glam palette. The quality of her shadows are great. They apply and blend well and I dont have problems with longevity or flaking. I do wish I didn’t need to use my finger to apply some of them, but the newer formula of most shimmer shadows, not just ND, seem to be most showy using your finger.
Love her teaching videos! Have learned something really big in each one. Makeup nice, but not crazy about. Would rather spend my money on Viseart or Tom Ford.
I’m not really interested in huge eyeshadow palettes, I have so much now that only very unique colors or composition interest me. But you can’t beat her quality. I have quite a few of her products and no complaints.
What I like: the color stories. I like the cheek palettes and some of the mini’s.
What I don’t like: the price point of those larger eye palettes like Biba and Star. It takes a lot to convince me that I need yet another large pre-made palette when I apply makeup to only one face, never mind that a magnetic palette made up of single shadow dupes would actually be a lower price point.
Love this brand! They are smooth, not chunky, and opaque in a few taps. The mattes are very pigmented.
I bought almost 10 palettes from ND. Even the ones people say are not her best are great. High quality. Smooth, great coverage and just beautiful. Very elegant and sofisticated. This is another level. However, as I am new to eyeshadows, I didn’t know about Carmine and glitter. I hate the use of both. Hoping that brands like Denona and Pat consider to give us their art without making people blind (because of those glitters) or hurting/killing animais without any reason. We are beautiful with no make up to! Don’t need to kill any God creature just for vainity.
I’ve got 3 of her smaller palettes (the really mini ones and the 15 pan Small Glam one) and I can honestly say that while the formulas are nice, they’re not nice enough to merit the high prices (which is why I’ve only got some of the smaller ones). I really HATE the way the shadows are “named” in the Glam 15 pan Small palette – stupid “placement suggestion” names on the front and the same suggestions with numbers on the back of the BOX (but not the back of the palette…I think I’ve kept the box, perhaps, but maybe not, though I did put the numbers on Avery labels and stuck them on the back). It’s crazy – most of the colours in that palette really appeal to me but I rarely use it because the “names”, such as they are, confuse me and I almost can’t see beyond them…
meant to add – I often refer to YOUR review, Christine, to help me use the palette in a more enjoyable way. Your comment about the naming scheme and how it’s arranged NOT being very user friendly is EXACTLY my experience and it explains why I use the palette so infrequently when, in reality, it should be one of my most used eyeshadow palettes.
Ditto! I feel like I am using a tester instead of a semi high end palette
I have every palette except for Circo Loco and one of the 5-pans released in a subscription box. I also have quite a few face products and love her liquid foundation and the eye primer, which I use every day. I have a few lip products. I also have her entire brush collection, and the eye brushes, though not very soft, do a brilliant job of applying the shadows.
Basically, I’m a huge fan of her formulas and I just love any type of innovation in makeup, which she has achieved consistently.
I really don’t have anything bad to say about this brand. I’ve enjoyed her products immensely and some – Star palette, foundation, eye primer – are holy grails which I’ve repurchased.
Regarding price points – there is enough hue overlap now among all the different sized palettes that you can find something you like at your price point. There’s an annual Christmas sale where you can pick up stuff you might be hesitant about because of the price. There is always a way to get the exact shadow(s) you want and still feel comfortable. I think she’s done a great job at making the colors and formulas available to a wide audience, much more so than most brands.
ND represents a significant part of my daily use powder cosmetics. I am a huge fan. I feel the brand is inclusive, has really good quality products, and caters to my type of looks; consistent mattes, lots of pretty shimmers that are not OTT. On the negative side, repetition, but perhaps not as guilty as PMG on same.
I don’t know why I find the palettes differ too much in formula and performance. That makes the shadows unpredictable for me. sometimes I love it and sometimes it’s totally lacklustre.
That’s not a brand I’ve tried yet. I do have things wishlisted but so far I haven’t been invested enough in any of them to actually purchase something yet. I don’t know what keeps putting me off but there’s a handful of brands like that.
I love the formula and the ability to move the pans between palettes. The formula lasts and makes my eyelids look smooth. I was starting to have issues with that with other formulas.
I wish she would release more mattes in the $65 palette. Something similar to the Safari palette, with a range from light to dark. I would buy that in a heart beat. I would also buy single shadows for the $65 palette size.
