I find it does, but I have shorter hair and I’ve worn it a myriad of colours and styles. When my hair was smokey grey and lilac or dark blue and denim blue in a classic fringed bob, I found I had to be ever so careful with the colours I chose for my eyes to ensure the overall effect did not clash horribly.
I also find the darker my hair, the more makeup I feel I need. My hair is now longer, wispier, and an ashier blonde than my photo and I rarely wear makeup, but that is a bit of pandemic sneaking in too. I swore I would never wear track pants or tights in public, and that’s all gone to hell in a handbasket 🙄
Exactly the same here–long hair that I nearly always wear up. I don’t have the fun colors that you do, though.
I actually…don’t know how to style my hair, except for buns and ponytails, so no. Not at all.
Hair style? No, not at all. Hair color, though, does! As a redhead, I did use slightly different hues than I have as wearing my hair close to what I would have if I wasn’t turning gray. And as a heavily highlighted “blonde”, I went for more of a “JLo glow” type of look. Lots of bronzey shades with a lighter brighter lip.
No. Although I switch between hair styles (ponytails, half-up, loose with a few strands in a small clip, regular braid, French or Dutch braid), it’s pretty casual, I never look like freshly done out of hair salon. I might avoid the hair loose – bold lip combo just because hair tends to get in my face, but otherwise makeup depends on my mood and hair style on my hair wash and workout calendar. 😅
My hairstyle doesn’t influence my makeup, but my hair colour does. I inherited my red hair from my Scottish maternal grandmother and I colour it the same as it was when I was younger. Even though my complexion and eyes say cool toned, the red shade of my hair allows me to wear warm toned neutrals as eyeshadows (not red, orange or pink though).
Wellll. . . hair color never came into play until I decided to make my life easier and went from brunette to blonde. Wow, wish I would have done this years earlier. I am very pale neutral since my natural color is white. I find it easier to use brighter colors with the blonde, and it REALLY changed my clothing colors. I went from neutrals to more color.
Only in how much I contour. When my hair is up I ensure to really give my face shape/shadow/light and shorten my forehead especially, LOL.
For the past year my hair’s been up in a topknot too. In fact I’ve finally got an appointment for a cut, it’s just too far gone when it hits my waist as it is now.
My hair is green, and I try to take that into account when I wear makeup, as it play with the colors.
Yes. If my hair is up, I’ll often wear more elaborate eyeliner. Also, when my hair is purple, if it’s down or not sometimes influences what color lipstick I wear.
Nope. I don’t don’t change my hair up very often. When I do, it doesn’t affect my makeup. I will say I like blue and teal eyeshadows better on me as redhead than I did as my natural brunette self.
The hair colour certainly does, I went from my usual cooler browns or blacks to a warmer red a year or so ago and I had to rethink my makeup a lot. It was kind of fun, actually. I’m now going to go back to the cooler tones again, as it feels more “me”.
I sometime do vintage, 1940s hair and then I do my take on the makeup from that era with, of course a great red lipstick.
When it’s long, my hair is so rarely worn outside of bun (and if that, it’s still probably in a pony) that it’s not much of a consideration. In the before-mask-times, I would still be much more likely to wear lipgloss than something more matte.
It kind of does , I’m mostly into very bright unnatural colors , and even silver . So depending on the color my hair is , I’ll try to wear complimentary lipsticks or even bold contrasting colors.Red only gets worn when I have the grey or silver hair
