Best Products of the Week | Vol. 285
Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.
What was your week in review like? Copy and paste the lil’ survey below and share your answers in the comments 🙂

Your skin tone/coloring: Pale/yellow, dark hair, blue eyes
Look you loved this week?: I recently picked up Natasha Denona Mini Retro, and I’ve loved both looks I did with it this week. It is a very perfect-for-me palette!
Any new or old favorites discovered?: Mini Retro is definitely a new love that I have discovered! For rediscoveries, the Smashbox x Vlada highlight is definitely getting more love from me!
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: I wanna do some more neutral-leaning looks with Juvia’s The Nomad and Pat McGrath Bronze Seduction for work this coming week.
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.
Look you loved this week?: I got a small Clionadh order in and used them all in one look that I really loved! Here’s the link if you want to see! https://www.instagram.com/p/CMPflG1pi-K/?igshid=g7y9xona1yqb
Any new or old favorites discovered?: I’ve really loved the Becca Dewing Skin Tint. It looks extreme when I first put it on, but sort of sets and my skin looks so healthy, but somehow not too dewy or oily? It’s amazing!
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: my CP Hello Kitty Snow Much Fun palette and more focus on my Clionadh shadows. And my ND Triochrome palette and Kaleidos Club Nebula.
That’s a another beautiful eye look and I like way to apply the shades and blend them so well so that they work seamlessly together. The comment about your friendly blemish made me laugh! I hope it’s doing the right thing and vanishing this week.
Thank you, Genevieve! Oh, my little friend is still with me, but she’s slowly fading… one of those blemishes that just quit 😂
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Look you loved this week?: I loved my eye look on Friday, using the ND Glam palette – with the gold shade on the lid, with two grey shades, a lighter one on the mobile lid and a darker one nearest to the lash line. I paired it with Milani’s Cinnamon Spice lipstick – my last one as it is now d/c.
Any new or old favorites discovered?: Not really – just rotating my eye and lip products on a regular basis. I am using ND’s Glam a lot with other palettes.
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: Now that our weather is starting to turn more towards Autumn (like it should), I am looking at using some of my more Autumn lipstick shades like Slow Dance from CP.
I wish those ND Glam shadows had NAMES and then I could know which 2 grey shades you were talking about. I put stickers on the back of the palette with the shade numbers as Christine showed them here but still, names would be so much better and even numbers on the FRONT would be preferable, as least for me.
It is so, so hideously annoying that there are no shade names – I totally agree with you. Anyway, the two grey shades I used were – the last shade in the middle row and the second last shade in the bottom row. Very nice together.
Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, dark hair, dark eyes
Look you loved this week?: I tried an all-over black eyeshadow look by accident (lol). It looked so cool and pretty! I usually go for softer makeup, so it was scary at first but gave me a lot of confidence like a bad girl. (not bad as in bad but bad as in good, you know?)
Any new or old favorites discovered?: Still adore Sydney Grace Indiana Love. Such a pretty navy for brown eyes.
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: Hope to play with the reds in the NARS Extreme Effects palette and have more fun with Sydney Grace singles.
Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
Look you loved this week?: honestly can’t think of one; I think I liked what I wore on Friday (first working day in several days) but I can’t remember what it was and, of course, it was only the upper third of my face that was visible – in schools, we all still must wear masks.
Any new or old favorites discovered?: Old favourite – the Tarte for Aqualillies eye and face palette. I think that’s what I used on Friday. I can’t wait to use it more this coming week. Even the “peach” looking blush seems to transform into a more wearable and flattering shade for me
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: TonyMoly bamboo (I think) facial spray and the aforementioned Tarte for Aqualillies palette
