Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Collection includes three new formulas: a lipgloss, cream blush, and liquid eyeshadow. Each formula has five shades, which results in five, monochromatic trios that one can create.

I’m well aware that Selena named this collection ‘stay vulnerable’ for a very specific reason that has anything to do with the current situation, and with all good intentions, but it seems such a bad omen in this period name something like this 😧

Those blushes look like macarons (the French ones) displayed in fancy little cases! (I must have food on my mind because when I first saw them, they looked like some mini cheesecakes I’d made that sort of collapsed in the centers when they cooled, until I fiddled with the recipe a bit!)

In pretty confused by the lipstick colours for the eyelids. For one, they’re not very inclusive. Dark skinned ladies might have trouble wearing them, definitely I expected more inclusiveness from Selena. Secondly who wants to wear lipstick pink on their eyelids?

I really wanted to support but between the white leaning shade range and the awful colours, the leaky packaging, I can’t get behind this.

Rare Beauty has pics of dark-skinned models on their insta. The eyeshadows are really opaque so they show up colorful on dark eyelids and not ashy. You should watch some reviews to look at how they show up on the eyes before coming for Selena lol, some people like a monochrome look.

Ooh, I’m so glad the Nearly Rose looks just as pink in your swatches as on the site! That’s the one I was most excited for. I wish the matching blush was less intense, though. It doesn’t feel like it’d actually match in practice unless you go suuuper sheer on the blush.

I would guess that this is a spring inspired release with all the pinks. The blushes look great and Nearly Neutral would be my choice. The liquid eyeshades are vibrant in their swatches too. I think this is going to be a pretty good collection all round.

I’m liking the look of the swatches for Nearly Neutral and Nearly Apricot blushes. I wonder how the texture compares to the Fenty Cheeks Out Cream Blush formula. The price point for the amount (the value) seems reasonable too. I’m looking forward to the review, as I’ve been reaching for cream blushes lately (Honest Beauty Creme Cheek Blush).

Those blushes look super interesting. The packaging is super cute and also looks like they’d be annoying to store.

However, I dislike the collection name enough to pass on them. She should have considered something like “Nearly Spring” to stay on theme with the names of the products, and reference time of release being closer to spring than away from it.

As always, thank you for the swatches.

I received “nearly rose” and “nearly apricot” liquid eyeshadows yesterday (very happy about the 36 hour delivery for items stocked out here on the west coast of Canada now!), and personally I think they are pretty similar in shade when you put them on the eye, at least with my colouring. I did test them last night tho, so maybe during the day they’ll seem more unique.
I do like the monochromatic look and wanted the blushes, but I have a similar one in her Soft Pinch liquid formula and some Fenty ones so I really didn’t need them.
They are easy to apply, sheers out or build intensity, and I’ll use them a lot in spring and summer.
I didn’t go for the balms, because I have so many right now, but I still want to try her matte liquid lippies.

I don’t mind a brand having several formulas of blush, so I think these new blushes are a welcome addition to a brand with an already solid blush formula – they look great! I am very curious about the drydown time of the liquid eyeshadows – wonder how long they stay blendable before they set.
