Sydney Grace Cream Shadow ($8.00 for 0.34 fl. oz.) were “adjusted” this fall by taking out “all botanicals” and changing the “base oil,” which extended the shelf life from six months to 12 months. There were also five new shades added to the range (though I saw some shades that were MIA!). Here’s hoping that they’re still as good (if not better!) than they were previously, but for now, enjoy these swatches of 25 shades.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Campfire and The Scoop have really caught my eye. I Don’t Know and Candlelight are also lovely and wearable looking for me. I remember when Bare Minerals had a small line of cream shadows in small tubes. There might have been only 5 shades but I got one of them (Urban Nature or something like that) and loved it.

These are so pretty. I have incredibly oily lids so cream shadows always make me nervous, but these are so beautiful and I remember they were good before and that I wanted to try them. Has anyone with really oily lids (we’re talking I have to use tissue to blot them mid day if I don’t wear makeup) tried these? Do they work ok without a primer or is a primer helpful? Do they keep oil at bay or at least last quite a while without creasing too much?

I have very oily kids, though not as bad as yours. I absolutely have to use primer under these so they don’t crease up. I use w&w. I haven’t tested them with udpp, but supershock shadows give up the ghost around 5 hours with them, so these would probably be similar. Btw, these do dry down. They don’t stay creamy and powder shadows blend out beautifully on top of them if you’ve a need. 🙂

I have no problem using a primer (as I have to with everything anyways lol). I think I’ll be picking these up. I use UDDP and with my super shocks that are actually good, we all know there are some brand inconsistencies, I can get a full days worth of wear. I love that you note these blend with powders well. I definitely have to pick a few up and play around with them. I don’t ever use creams, but these are intriguing and the dry down/blendability scares me a little less 🙂

You were kind enough to recommend an It brush for sheering these out. Unfortunately, it’s no longer available at It or Ulta. The 3 I got from the original ones (down the coast, cliff jumping, and glory) all look like onrushing trains. I have never been able to get the equivalent of your right swatches. I did get the BF SG EL light palette at 6A. Grand palette that I really held out on, then caved. And boy, do the USPS carriers start early!
