Bobbi Brown Violet Plum Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick Review, Photos, Swatches
Bobbi Brown Violet Plum Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick
Bobbi Brown Violet Plum Long-Wear Cream Bark Stick ($28.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “deep shimmer eggplant.” It’s a dark, shimmering plum with red undertones and subtle plum, red, and violet shimmer. Bobbi Brown Black Violet is a touch less red-toned but otherwise is very comparable. Urban Decay Tornado is a powder eyeshadow, and it’s a bit purpler. I was surprised not to find more similar shades.
It has semi-opaque color coverage, but I was not able to build up the color to get fully opaque color, and compared to the other shades, the pigmentation in a single stroke was noticeably sheerer. Â The color applied evenly, which is important, because uneven, sheer color is something that can look off even from a distance. Â I did experience some very light creasing after eight hours, though it did not seem to worsen too much more when I checked at the ten-hour mark. Â The consistency was creamy enough that it glided on and didn’t pull at the lid, and it didn’t take too long or too little time to set.

I think you may have the wrong picture up, or maybe the caption isn’t in the correct order in the picture of your eye… I really love this color but I already have UD Rockstar, do you think they are close?
Rockstar has a lot more red in it!
Lovely, sultry shade that’s still quite wearable for everyday 🙂
Pretty shade!
Whats the difference between the Urban Decay Eye Shadow Pencil, Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks and the Bobbi Brown Shadow Sticks?
Christine, either is the wrong picture, or the color on the inside of the eye shifted to green…
The outer lid is Violet Plum! The inner lid is Forest (green).
The colour looks so lovely but I don’t like the fact that it’s not buildable. It might work ok layered with a similar colour powder eyeshadow on top, but overall seems a bit of an effort. Pity, as I love plummy shades like that.
Can you please tell me what the middle color is? Thank you! 🙂
Golden Pink!
Too bad you couldn’t get it fully opaque. It really is a beautiful color.
