How do you store your nail polishes?

I used to keep them in Helmers on purpose, but I’ve donated about 95% of what I had (probably 10,000 bottles… no, seriously). I still have some Helmers leftover, so the few polishes I kept are in them, but I actually need to organize them again now that it’s a much smaller amount (maybe 100 bottles or so). I display all the Louboutin polishes on one of my makeup dressers.

I have two acrylic organizers with square compartments but I have been buying from indie brands lately and their bottles are not always square so I need to find something new. I have maybe ten bottles now because I get my nails done professionally and don’t change colors between manicures.

I keep mine in a train case. All of my mani/pedi supplies fit in there too. Recently I purged and took my unwanted polishes to mom’s nursing home. The aides like to polish the ladies fingernails and they love it so much. Before covid I enjoyed seeing the different colors on their nails too.

I have a small basket from the dollar store I throw my polishes in. I have a zip bag (from Ipsy) that I store any tools, brushes, cotton balls, q tips, removers etc in. I used to have a ton of polishes, but I just don’t wear them as often these days and just a small basket is all I need.

My loving hubs bought me my own Gelish UV lamp and a cool train case, the lamp goes in the bottom compartment and the top has a drawer for my tools and a pretty see through top to store my gel polishes. I give myself a new gel mani every weekend! Does it look as polished as a professional one? Not quite yet, but I have saved hundreds of dollars in the last three years by doing my own nails!

Went a lil crazy this weekend on sales at ILNP, IScream Nails, and Pop Polish, so I’m about to have around a 100+ and I’m now on a no-buy for life lol. That being said rn they’re being stored in heavy duty plastic containers under my bed (#ApartmentLife), but with the new goodies coming in I’m going to start looking into some display shelves.

I have about 50 polishes which are stored in a metal tin in a cabinet in our bedroom. The lid of the tin says, “I was normal 3 cats ago.” (I have six cats plus another outdoor cat). The lid is on display at my work office. I thought 50 polishes was a lot until I read some of these posts, lol.

I have a couple of heavy duty boxes with my smallish collection. I should paint my nails seeing as I’m not going to the salon now, but my nails are so weak and flimsy I would have to do them every second day, I don’t go anywhere so what’s the point?

I have collected polishes for over 10 years. I store them in Helmer, you can store so many without taking up lots of space. Lately there aren’t any collections that catch my eye.

I only have about a dozen polishes so I store them in a repurposed Ferrero Rocher container, with the prettiest bottles (Smith & Cult) displayed on the outer edges.
