This is cute and much more colourful than their last release. It’s actually much closer to the palette you envisioned for Wild Nothing. LOL! The packaging has been really pretty lately, and it really makes the whole collection that much more appealing, even if I already have these colours. I’ll wait for some swatches because we all know Colourpop’s promo images always look so different from the actual colours.

This is very pretty, but it seems like CP’s releases of late have been pretty boring or stagnant. The blushes are nice. I’m wondering why they’re favoring the Jelly Much shadows over Super Shock. When was the last time they even released new Super Shock Shadows? Anyway, if the blushes don’t sell out in 2 seconds I might buy a couple of them.

Speaking of your point on twitter about the blushes, I was surprised how light their freckle pens seemed to run too. I saw someone who is barely medium toned (like an 85N in cpop’s newest foundation line) swatch them and thought they dont look like they made them with some deeper skintones in mind either. I am also curious if leadership changed.

I adore the palette, but I’m pretty sure most of these colors are dupes from the first Disney palette. I’ll wait to see swatches before deciding.

The blushes look like exact dupes of the Flower Beauty blush pots…

Makeup Just for Fun on Youtube did a swatch comparison between this and It’s a Princess Thing. They’re super similar, especially the neutral shades.

I think this collection is cute but very disappointing at the same time… It’s so baffling to see a brand being so vocal about the BLM movement and yet never release deep blushes! It would have been so lovely if they kept the lavender and the darker pink for light skin tones, and released a deep purple and a rich copper for deep skin tones instead of those peach and lighter pink blushes. Come on, Colourpop!

Leo Avatar

I love all of this, but as fashion season chugs past Fall into Winter, it seems like an odd time to release these shades. I love the Jellies for a wash of color and can’t wait to see swatches of them especially.

AJ Avatar

Nuh-uh ColourPop, you may have fooled me with your cactus-themed collection, but I’m not buying this one without waiting for reviews!

(Really wish they had released this collection first, it’s much more ME than the first one, but I don’t feel like throwing good money after bad, y’know?)

Maggie Avatar

I’m tentatively excited. At a glance, the collection looks great. The amount of shimmer shadows in the palette make me a bit nervous–I’m actually not a fan of the kind of shimmery/metallic shadows that apply better with fingers or sponge applicator and CP happens to make a number of those.

Dandy Avatar

The embossing on the blushes is pretty, but the collection name is just making me think “common or garden variety”, ie the plain, unexciting version of something… maybe that’s a bit too on the nose, Colourpop!

Cynthia Avatar

This feels like a reworking of their Wild Nothing collection after hearing all the reviews from people saying that the colors just fell short of the vision. If all the shadows in this are standard pressed powder formulas, I would say that I am definitely considering it. I cannot stand that they have been incorporating pressed glitters and super shock shadows.

Jessica Avatar

I think the palette is very pretty but I do feel like I have all of these shades in my collection already. And for a garden themed palette I really expected more GREENS! They’re claiming it’s inspired by succulents but then there’s only ONE shade of green? I find that super disappointing.

I ended up ordering the Night Bloom blush in the kit with the matching lip oil. The palette is very pretty but I feel I have all of the colors. I also picked up an eyeshadow brush and the avocado aloe serum. Not new releases I know… but I have never tried a serum and I am getting old. I am 33 now… trying to amp up the skincare a bit. 🙂
