Your skin tone/coloring: pale-warm, dark hair, blue eyes
Look you loved this week?: PMG Bronze Seduction on the eyes, brown liner, and my all-time favorite blush, Illamasqua Naked Rose, on the cheeks with Smashbox highlighter from the Vlada collection for a job interview. It was a very pretty look overall!
Any new or old favorites discovered?: Tarteist metallic eyeshadow singles. I love those things!
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: Any excuse to wear makeup will be welcomed, honestly. I will probably try to wear more of those Tarteist shadows though.
I’m sure you did well on your interview. Good luck. Can’t help but wonder if the interview was virtual and the job is WFH. Hard to imagine how things were a year ago, and how much we took for granted.
It is an in person job, but it is in a field that’s still in early stages of reopening, so I would only interact with a few co-workers and there’s strict social distancing. The interview was on Zoom, and very intimidating, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you!
Best wishes for your interview Stephanie. I hope you land the position and you look sounds lovely.
Thank you, Genevieve! <3
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Look you loved this week?: A very autumnal look – with Dior’s 3 Colouer’s Antique gold on the whole lid, Chanel’s Tisse D’ Automne’s olive green on the lower lid and the soft brown shade in the crease. I paired it with Maybelline’s Spice for Me lipstick – in the house.
Any new or old favorites discovered?: Not really, I just keep using all of my eyeshadows as much as possible.
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: Probably Dior’s Bonne Etoile autumn shades – the olive one in particular.
That sounds so pretty, Genevieve! I’ve been craving Autumn shades and flavors since the beginning of August! The summer was basically a waste anyway, right?
Look you loved this week?: I used my Colourpop It’s My Pleasure palette yesterday, with ABH Brow Wiz, the bronzer from the Tarte 101 Blush palette, Colourpop SSB in Simply Sweet, and the Colourpop SSH in Glow Burst both from the Pony Park collab. Topped it off with the original Fenty Gloss Bomb
Any new or old favorites discovered?: If I already know the Colourpop It’s My Pleasure palette is my most loved palette of all time, is it really a rediscover? Especially since I wasn’t wearing makeup at the beginning of August it was like coming back to an old friend
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: My Sephora order just passed my mom’s package quarantine so I’m planning on trying all the lippies in the Give Me Some Shine Lip Set. I’m going to film an unboxing + try-on and create a different look with each lip
Your skin tone/coloring: above
Look you loved this week?: Naked Foxy with Safari Amhara in crease
Any new or old favorites discovered?: I am doing an eyeshadow project…..each shadow assigned a number….apply a number randomizer…..5 randomly assigned shadows for the month…..enjoy ?
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: I am close to panning a few skin care things and one color thing!
That sounds like a fun challenge! You have much more commitment to using your eyeshadows than I do, lol. I can’t stick to one palette or one color scheme for the life of me; I love my variety way too much!
Hello Celesta!
I am having a lot of fun with it, much more than I thought I would. And my shadow’s are showing some use, which is lovely. Happy week!
Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
Look you loved this week?: it’s been dreadfully hot and I’ve been at the gym pretty much every day (trying to work my way back to pre-shut down level of strength and definition) so most days have been pretty light – tinted sunscreen, some UDPP with the lightest shade from the new NARS Suede Voyageur palette (Stilt House) on mobile lid and Deep Chic in the crease; Sephora Cappuccino liner and MAC Craving on lips.
Any new or old favorites discovered?: That NARS palette – I am SO glad I took a chance and got it. I’m surprised that Christine hasn’t reviewed it here at Temptalia.
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: The NARS palette – I like it so much and really look forward to using it even though this coming week looks hot and I’ve got training sessions at the gym, some outdoor yoga and an eye doctor appointment, none of which is really conducive to wearing eye makeup.
I’m SO sorry! I just can’t review everything that comes out – I’m always behind so I’m not able to cover all products.
Christine, I didn’t mean that as a criticism – I hope you don’t think I’m faulting you for not reviewing it. It’s more that I rely so much on your reviews that any time I purchase something without having access to your review, I feel like I’ve sort of jumped out of an airplane and I’m just praying that my chute will open!
Totally understand it wasn’t a criticism, I just felt that I really disappointed you there and wanted to apologize for it!
No way could you disappoint me! It’s more that I was surprised because NARS seems to be one of the brands where you put up reviews (especially eye ones) often (and it explains why I have so many NARS eye products that aren’t disappointing – your reviews guide me, so this time, it was like flying blind! But it all worked out well).
Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC NC 20
Look you loved this week?: I did a look with the MAC foiled shadow from their summer collection. Wore malt and haux in the crease and outer v. Shroom on the browbone. Put St. Tropez on eyelid. Wetted brushed with Fix +. Threw on Lancome Monseuir Big Mascara on lashes. Wore Becca Flowerchild and Stila Kitten Highlighter on cheeks
Any new or old favorites discovered?: New: MAC foiled shadows. St.Tropez is stunning! I want to pick up more. They are amazing! Old: Becca Flowechild and Stila Kitten highlighter. Both sit so nice on the skin and they just make you look healthy. Nothing crazy?
Any product you’re hoping to use next week? I picked up Chanel Elemental quad and the Dior cool neutrals. Just want to play with soft pretty colors!
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.
Look you loved this week?: I did a fun look with my Sugarpill Funsize palette that reminded me of citrus/passionfruit colors. I hadn’t done a complete look with that palette before, and I really enjoyed it. I also got to use my new Sonia G brushes a few times this past week and they are heaven.
Any new or old favorites discovered?: My Sonia G brushes. I would like to invest in more.
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: I purchased a few pigments from Tammy Tanuka and would like to get some good use out of them this week; they are breathtakingly gorgeous.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light with reddish undertones
Look you loved this week?: I only did one real look this week, using older Anastasia singles I had put in a quad and not used in months and months! I used blazing in the crease and while it’s a lovely shade, it was just a little too strong for what I was going for. I wore Brownie on the lid and the sparkle of it was quite pretty. Overall though the look appeared more to my liking hours later after all my shadows had settled in a bit more haha!
Any new or old favorites discovered?: Used my new Sonia G brushes! Very pleased with them. Also I am still pleased with my old Anastasia singles (even though the look I created this week wasn’t my favorite).
Any product you’re hoping to use next week?: I have such a long list of products I need to try for the first time! Who knows what I’ll reach for next!
