Clionadh Cosmetics 66.5° N Collection Swatches (x24)
Clionadh 66.5° N Collection includes 24 eyeshadows, which are split across 9 metallics, 5 shimmer metallics, 4 soft mattes, 3 mattes, 3 duochromes, and 1 transformer. It can be purchased as a bundle for $145.00 CAD (~$106.69 USD), though it is currently sold out with some shades still available individually. I would anticipate more stock in September based on current turnaround times. The shades can be purchased individually from $6.00 CAD to $8.00 CAD (~$4.41 to $5.88 USD).

Even their pastels look good! These swatches have been great fun, especially for fantasy looks. Thanks.
These look so pretty. Aurora, Ursa, and Vortex are my favorites!
There are some really nice shades in this group too!
Clionadh multi chromes have spoiled me. They are so pretty and multi-dimensional! I have 12 of them and I’m waiting for a pre-order that was supposed to arrive in April! They are a small company and take a while with filling orders and COVID has really slowed them down. I don’t have these shadows, the swatches look good. Looking forward to the review.
Ooh, those pastel shades look pretty! LOL! These swatches are truly impressive.
Usually, I’m not really in to pastel e/s’s, but these are blowing me away! Those mattes look wonderful compared to what we typically see in matte pastels. Several of the icy shimmers also have me swooning just a little bit! Love the Arctic feel!
I like Skylights, Snowdrift and Permafrost!
Mumma Mia – do these look good or what? The swatches are fabulous and the brand has a great mix of shades and finishes too. I am looking forward to their reviews.
Wow! Today has been a treat with all these swatches. Just a few weeks ago I was skimming Clionadh thinking these were gorgeous. Now I definitely want to add some of their shadows to my collection. I’ve added quite a lot to my wish list!
The quality is definitely there. Wow, those mattes! I’m in love with the multi chromes, however.
These are really looking so cool. It will be interesting to see how they review.
Yay for all the Clionadh love! They hand make some amazing shadows!
Hi Christine! Hope you are doing well! Thanks for your swatches and previews. I love a lot of what indie brands offer but have some trepidation about purchasing. I do not know what safety protocols are in place to avoid contamination, ensure quality control within batches, test sourced ingredients at a large scale. Have you or anybody else reading had these concerns and if so how do you navigate this? I love Give Me Glow, JD Glow, Devinah, Clionadh, Terra Moons but always hesitated
I usually wait to purchase until they’ve been around for a bit so that if there are any issues, they tend to come out via other customers!
Assuming they are running as a legitimate business, I would expect that they adhere to industry standard protocols in general, but there’s not a lot of transparency on any of these with any brand, so you are trusting them (big or small).
Thanks so much Christine! I have been a doing a lot more reading about this lately, especially in peer reviewed sources, to better understand how quality control and production issues are managed, and to understand how eyeshadows and other cosmetics are regulated. I have found some scientific papers demonstrating some issues – for example heavy metal contamination in some eyeshadows, and contamination of some lower end concealers in Korea with technetium. It has me thinking about what risks are present at each step of the cosmetic production process and how companies (large and small) mitigate this. Of all companies, I figure large corporations have the easiest go. Massive companies like Maybelline or Covergirl can perhaps they have in house chemists who can easily verify purity / quality of their source materials and products at various steps in the pathway but again this is just an educated guess because brands are not transparent to begin with as you said. The best evidence I can find toward this is how the Reuter’s expose revealed some of the testing capacities of Johnson and Johnson, indicating what these companies have funds for and are capable of doing (not too far a leap). Additionally, from my understanding, the FDA does not require cosmetic companies to submit samples for routine testing either. No doubt you are very busy – if you ever decide to cover or write on this issue, I would be very interested as I would love to be able to understand my makeup better and make safer purchases, especially with smaller companies
Okay, okay, okay….the woman who does not need a single other eyeshadow (aka ME) went to look at the company’s website after seeing this and I was immediately grabbed by the throat by the shade Caribou. It does look different there from the photos here (and I know which ones I trust more!) but in either case, it looks lovely. It also looks like a colour I probably have in multiples already. I’m hoping dupes show up soon so I can slake my thirst for that shade or this entire palette if it comes back into stock. That whole row (above) that starts with Sublimate has no appeal to me (again, those milky, matte-ish pastels) but I’d be willing to ignore those. I am so tempted by this palette though I might actually do better with a selection of singles….
And they’re Canadian!!
Yes, I know, eh? (LOL) And they’re in Toronto and if only they had an actual store, I’d be able to pop in when we visit our younger son – THAT would make things perfect for me!
That matte baby blue is exactly what I have been looking for! And from a Canadian small business? Will need to put in an order once they get more stock!
I’m so excited you got these! I can’t wait to see your looks so I can rock them myself!
