Cream Bronzer

They’re really lovely to work with when I’m doing a lighter makeup day–like if I just wanted to add some warmth and definition all-over the face but wasn’t planning on setting my makeup or having a ton of blush/eyeshadow. They are also nice for layering underneath powder bronzer for greater longevity. I like the finish of cream bronzers, too, and they’re more forgiving.

I don’t know what’s the issue with me, but except foundation and concealers, I hate applying anything creamy or liquid on my face make-up wise. I find cream bronzers an uncomfortable idea for me application wise, I simply just prefer powders. I think of them as hard to work with (although some would say otherwise) and easy to overdo.

I love how they look and their staying power. I use the lancome dual ended one, ud ‘s shape shifter and waiting patiently for the Chanel cream bronzer. I just recently started using daily. I didn’t realize over the years my skin tone darkened a little so I can’t use light palettes anymore. I have to go darker and bronzer really enhances my look.

I love the way cream bronzer blends and melds with the skin, but I really hate how dust and brush hairs get in there. Then a bit of the product has to be gouged out to keep it tidy. Perhaps a silly pet peeve.

I love cream products!

The best one I have found are from Daniel Sandler….the best blushes also. L-O-V-E.

Other adventures: Milk Makeup Baked wore off in ~ 4 hours. The Huda Beauty (in Light) was too pigmented and made my face look dirty. The Chanel one comes in 1 shade, and I can only use it part of the year (or it looks orange). The Kosas cream blush/bronze in Tropic Equinox was beautiful (didn’t last a long time) but the oils made the color change after 1 winter (even when kept in a temp-controlled basement).

I’ve only recently gotten my first cream bronzer so I’m still learning how to work with it but I like the idea of being able to use a touch of bronzer on a face that isn’t completely made up. What I’m hating is that I have to change how I apply bronzer as my usual fluffy brush doesn’t seem to be working as well with the cream so I’m having to experiment with other tools. It’s not a bad thing but kind of annoying when the point of my getting a cream product was to make summer makeup less complicated.

LOVE it!
I put down my cream contour/bronzer first, then concealer.
Then I add my foundation on top and find it blends much better.
Then I add CT Hollywood Flawless to highlight high-points and add soften with powder bronzer.
Then I powder where needed–under eye, nose and sides of mouth.
Been using cream blush more than ever too….

I’ve been favoring cream products in general for daytime for the past few months, mainly because I’ve discovered how much easier it is to reapply sunscreen. In the past, I typically used all powders, including foundation & concealer, but I’d have to essentially remove it all in order to reapply sunscreen, and layer more product on top. With cream/liquid products, I just use a sponge to reapply sunscreen, and touch up any “color” products. Granted, cream products don’t wear as long, but when reapplying sunscreen, it doesn’t really matter…

I’ve been trying out several different brands & products, and have collected quite an arsenal, LOL! The only thing is, none of my work gets to be seen with the mask mandates…
