The lip balm is good. It’s a potted balm and I’m trying to use up any sort of balms in pots. They’re too messy and a pain. I like this one it’s very flattering on the lips.

I have tried the sheet masks too. I like them bc generally they don’t have irritating things like fragrance and fragrant plant oils. I get them at Ulta and they’re reasonably priced:)

Yup, I agree. I say get the irritating essential oils (EOs) out of my skin care and put the money towards safe whole plant ingredients and skin care ingredients that work. My lips and face don’t need to smell like perfume especially when the biting bugs come out.

I don’t really do “combinations” – I wear a lipstick in a colour I like than that’s it – no mixing of lipsticks or lipstick and gloss, etc. The closest I come to a “combination” is using EA’s fabulous lipstick primer with the lippie of my choice on top and then, maybe as the day wears on, a swipe of Kiehl’s Simply Rose Butterstick if my lips start feeling dry or my lipstick has worn away and I’m too lazy to go to a mirror to reapply.

I guess this reminds me to play with combos at home. Because lipstick is kind of a Catch 22 right now. Any place you would normally wear lipstick, a mask is needed. Any place a mask is not needed, like outdoors on a walk…was not necessarily a lipstick setting.

I have not been wearing very many lipsticks – at all. But it’s been more of a lip balm discovery journey:) Ive been using Dior’s lip balm and just got another in Rosewood. I’ve also been using Fenty’s gloss bombs and Nars lip balm in Orgasm.

honestly, they should bring back UD Rebel. Should they do so, all the temptalia readers will buy it first thing. I bought UD Ms Mia Wallace, after reading about it here (it popped up on most people’s favorite red lipstick, in a question sometime in the second half of 2019). I buy most of my makeup based on recommendations from readers comments here.

It’s not so much about color, but formula/product combinations. I discovered a few weeks ago that the Revlon Superlustrous Glass Shine lipsticks layer so beautifully over liquid matte lipsticks, and have just been playing around with different pairings, and varying amounts of the Revlon lipsticks. I find using a balm tends to alter the liquid lipstick, but if I use the Revlon lipstick in a very light layer, tapping on with my finger, it doesn’t get patchy, and still remains matte; however, if I use more product, I can achieve a creme flossy finish. It’s also fun to combine colors, but I picked up a second Clear Quartz, for shades I don’t want to alter. I have so many liquid matte lipsticks, but I don’t wear them often because I don’t love a matte finish all the time, but hopefully I’ll be able to get more use of them. This week, I’m going to focus on pairing them with matte bullet lipsticks.

I have been wearing Kylie Cosmetics angel cake mixed with most lipsticks I wear to lighten them. Angel cake is a really light satin finish nude color. I put it in the center of another lipstick to lighten it, as most lipsticks are a bit too dark on me. I really like it for spring!

I’ve been learning to pair colors/formulas that don’t work on me as stand-alones quite often in quarantine! My favorite combo is Lancome L’Absolu Rouge in 186 Idole (which likes to migrate on me) and Clinique’s Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick in 45 Matte Crimson (DC). The neon coral of Idole softens up the crimson to be my ideal warm-leaning pinky red. Shopping your stash FTW!

I love mixing lip products but do it by sight inconsistently. I have rosacea, usually mild, so I do color based on my current coloring and clothing. I don’t mean I match but like to compliment. Also depends on time of day. My point, I guess is that I frequently mix with inconsistent colors and products. I used to paint if that helps.

I’ve been indoors a lot or wearing a mask when I have to join the human race so I’m wearing comfy lip products but they’re not my favorite looks. IT Cosmetics Vitality Lip Flush Stain Hydrating Lipsticks (not extremely hydrating but a good quickie product) in JNSQ or Love Story with Lip Flush Stain Hydrating Serum Gloss in JNSQ. The gloss serum is very comfy, smooth, not sticky. These are some of the only products I completely finish using. Sometimes I wear a little Lurk gloss from Melt over them. My Dose Of Colors glosses & lipsticks haven’t seen the light of day in awhile.

I wear some combination of these most often when I wear more makeup: Melt’s Santeria, Velvet Room, ROC, Cherried, Bellastona (my remaining Belladonna 2 lipsticks are old & dry but I can’t toss them), Shady Lady w Lurk, Mac High Energy & Cherry liners. I probably haven’t found my favorite lip formulas that FEEL good and come in bold and dark colors yet.
